Rating: ⭐☆☆☆☆ (1 out of 5) I had a very disappointing experience with this daycare. The director was extremely unwelcoming — she never greeted parents in the morning or made any effort to build a relationship with families. What really upset me was how they handled my daughter. They made it seem like her simply not sitting down was a major issue and ended up removing her from the program over it. My daughter was only two years old at the time, so of course, she occasionally put things in her mouth like any toddler might. Instead of handling it with care and supervision, it became clear they didn’t have enough staff to properly watch and support children that young. At one point, we even witnessed a teacher yelling at the kids, which was completely unacceptable and concerning. To make matters worse, her teacher tried to suggest my child might be autistic — something that is completely inappropriate for a teacher to diagnose. When my daughter started at her next daycare, it was a night-and-day difference. They communicated with us, worked through any issues together, and treated her with patience and kindness. While a few teachers here genuinely cared about the kids, the director and my daughter’s last teacher made the experience awful. Their lack of professionalism, compassion, and proper supervision was unacceptable. Overall, I’d give this daycare 1 out of 5 stars. The few good teachers can’t make up for the poor leadership and the way they treated my child.
Best Childcare Program in Lawrenceville. They really love on the children and take great care of them. They offer music, chapel, and always doing something fun with the kids. My daughter has been attending since she was 3 years old and is now 5. My one year old has been attending since 4 months old. I really love this school. They don't bend on tuition and make you pay when late and stick to the rules. Wish they were flexible and showed compassion when faced with financial struggle but overall they are great care takers.
My son has been going to KCLC for about 3 months and honestly, sending him was the best decision we have made as parents. We toured about 30 different child care centers, but KCLC stood out to us from the beginning. The staff is wonderful, they adore my son and I know he is in excellent hands from the second I drop him off until when I pick him up. The price is insanely great, hours are greats for early mornings and late evenings at the office and most importantly, the communication between the teachers, the administrative team and the parents is so thorough and consistent. I don't feel like my child is just part of the school, I feel like he's part of a huge family. He will be staying at KCLC for as long as I continue to work and all of my future children will go there as well! Thank you so much to everyone at KCLC for taking such great care of my little man!
My child attended her from 6 week until 18 months and enjoyed the ride. I only left left because I worked in Alpharetta and lived in Duluth and the commute began to take a toll on me. The teachers are the best and they really love and bond with the children. My daughter had arts and crafts daily, learning colors, countings and a host of other learning to enhance her motor skills at an advance level. Her diapers were changed every two hours and sooner if needed. A monthly calendar of meals provided. Also quarterly functions so parents can meet and mingle. I enjoyed the school pictures too. The best thing is when the weather doesn't permit the children of going outside its a huge indoor gym in the center. The price was the most affordable within the Gwinnett area. I could give this center 10 stars instead of 5.
My daughter experienced racial remarks and different treatment than some of the other children in her class. There were numerous times that I had to reach out to her teacher Kathy regarding the things she’d tell her dad and I about. The teacher and staff weren’t as concerned as they tried to make it out to be after days of waiting on responses, no cameras to really know what’s actually going on, terrible communication from the actual teacher, and never being able to simply meet or even see her until we made it aware we were removing her from the daycare. There’s something very sketchy about this facility and staff. Church or not, it’s definitely not for every child.
