Kiddieland Educational Center Excellence

I want to share my experience to warn other parents about this daycare. We had ongoing issues with inconsistent staff and financial management but the real problems started when a new teacher, Vanessa, joined my son’s classroom. Within a week, my son began regularly telling me that she was “mean” and “mad at them.” I witnessed her myself one morning, sitting at the computer, getting upset when she had to step away, and roughly pulling a child from their parent. After asking other parents, I found they were noticing the same behavior. Some couldn’t confirm through their children because of speech delays, but agreed their kids were having a harder time after this teacher started. Under his previous teacher, Lucy, we never had these issues. My son also came home saying they were watching Bluey and Paw Patrol on the computer at daycare instead of receiving meaningful care. When he started telling me he was scared to go to daycare, I knew I could not let him go there anymore. This place was horrific for us, and I have documentation to back up my claims. I hope this review helps other parents make an informed decision.

My toddler has been going here for a year and a half. He loves all of the teachers and I am always amazed by the new things he is learning. They have a great outdoor play area as well as an indoor gym. We receive weekly newsletters about the activities they did during the week and get updates on how he is developing. My toddler also loves the food here. Everyone that works here is kind, patient, and cares about the children.

My son attended this center back in 2019-2021. At the time he experienced his first seizure and went through a huge milestone regression, later to be diagnosed with autism. From one day to the next he changed significantly and lost so many skills he had once had including the ability to talk. This center dismissed him due to behavior and provided no support. I’m finding out now, 4 years later, this was illegal. I’m sure the owner knew she couldn’t kick him out but she sure did. Run far away from here.

Kiddieland is the best childcare center! We had to pull my son out because we moved out of the neighborhood. I have always enjoyed the teachers and how they ran their facility. I really cannot complain! It was until I had to look for a new center for my son when I realized how GREAT Kiddieland is. Kiddieland set the bar high for my expectations. Not only do they know how to run a business but they genuinely care about the kids and try their best to do many activities with the parents. The tuition is well worth it. You can trust the center with your children! If I didn't move so far away I definitely would take the commute in just to know my son is safe, learning and enjoying himself. It was heartbreaking when we had to leave because you truly build a bond with the teachers there. I mean it when I say they genuinely care about the kids. Its hard to find a center that has all qualities you are looking for. This one nailed it! I wish nothing but the best for Kiddieland and hope they can one open another center in the Oak Park area :) (hint hint) Ms. Colon, Ms. Dana, Ms. Taylor and Ms. Nydia thank you for giving my son the best care and learning experience! We will remember you all forever! Good luck with your careers you will all be great impact on our children's lives.

Our daughter loved going here. The teachers were great and the facility and playground are some of the best around.
