I had a very disappointing experience with this school last week. I brought my son there last week, and after just one day, the staff complained that he was kicking and scratching. I decided it would be best to discontinue. The issue is that I had already paid $430, and even though I told them they could keep payment for that one day, the owner still refused to refund the rest. I find this unfair and unprofessional. In my opinion, this is not the kind of place parents should feel comfortable leaving their kids. Not only was I treated poorly, but I also lost my money in the process.
Having previously enrolled my child in a few other daycares and eventually having to pull him out, I can confidently say that finding Kiddie Academy has been one of the best decisions I’ve made. From the start, Ms. Zunara, his first teacher at Kiddie Academy, was incredibly welcoming, loving, and attentive. She truly cares for the children in her class, and it shows—my son always has a big smile and a cheerful “bye” ready for her every morning and everyone one he comes in contact within the premises. The rest of the teaching staff are just as wonderful—warm, nurturing, and genuinely invested in the kids’ well-being. There was a specific incident involving my child that left me particularly impressed. The administrative team handled it with care and professionalism, taking swift and appropriate measures to ensure the children’s safety. That level of attentiveness reassured me that I made the right choice. Kiddie Academy has created a safe, loving, and structured environment where my child is thriving.
Our son attended Kiddie Academy of Richmond for several years, and his teacher this past year, Ms. Aysha, was exceptional. She supported him through separation anxiety at drop off, with creativity and love, kept us well-informed and inspired him daily to learn. We’re so grateful for the care and personal attention she gave—she made a lasting impact on our family. Though he’s moved on to “big boy” school, we always remember her! Ms. Zunara has a forever special place in our hearts and family. She had our son in her room at age one, and his connection with her lasted throughout his last few years . She was his "school mom" and the one who had an indescribable way with him. He always asked for her and still lights up when he sees her. We hope to remain in touch even though we’ve moved on to another school.
The staff are all very friendly and attentive. I have my 9 month old attending and the caregiver, Vivi is amazing. She really cares for and gives lots of attention to the babies. My 6 year old daughter also loved being there during spring break with Ms. Brooklyn, another gem. I’m very happy with the team there.
Kiddie Academy is a genuine help to my child's development. Ever since my child joined this daycare she's always so expressive and lately she's even started joking with me. The staff are incredibly kind and friendly people with both the kids and Adults, truly recommend.
