I have been sending my almost two year old daughter to Kitty Academy in Miller Place for about six months. First and biggest appeal of kiddie Academy is their flexibility. My husband and I own a local business and have sporadic hours. In the beginning we were set up to bring our daughter anytime after 6:30 in the morning and pick up anytime it for 6:30 in the evening- With our crazy business hours, that was a huge perk! We started out by sending her three days a week during the summer which is our busy season. Since we usually slow down in the fall we de-enrolled her but soon realized that that was a mistake! Kiddie academy spends a great deal of time socializing the children. My daughter was with other toddlers her own age and has made nice friendships. She has been learning how to play nicely with other children and since she is an only child, Learning how to share has been huge! A few weeks later we reenrolled her so that she could continue with all the strides that she had been making! I am so glad to have them just a few blocks away from our business. The convenience can’t be beat! It is an extremely clean facility and the staff are highly trained, most being certified preschool teachers. I am impressed! Highly recommend Kiddie Academy of Miller Place to anyone in the local area who is looking for a great day care or preschool solution!
This school is so beneficial for your child I could not recommend it more! My Son has learned so much not only academically but growth as a whole. They simply do so much at this school, from potty training to people skills to learning how to clean up after themselves on top of exceptional teaching. The staff is so friendly and professional they stay on top of everything, constant daily e-mails on what your child is doing with pictures not to mention the added bonus of being able to actually watch your child from your phone!! This location goes above and beyond normal cleaning standards. The owners of this location take such pride in this place and it shows. If you have children you gotta check this place out you will not regret it.
My children always beg to go to KA. They're the best judge. But I love the staff, various activities, and communication with pictures and content. One other valuable and important part of our choice for day care is the way management is actually caring and flexible with changing family needs. We Love KA of Miller Place!
Moved my daughter here in May and we are both so happy. I feel the staff really care about her and they do so many activities. I am glad to be apart of the kiddie academy community.
Horrible. No structure, no curriculum, sometimes they don't even go outside. When confronted, you are told nothing but lies. So disappointed. If you are looking for strictly babysitting maybe they're okay but If you want your child to do things other than run around a room aimlessly, I suggest not enrolling here.
