Extremely Disappointed and Concerned with How the School Handles Situations I am writing this review with great frustration and disappointment. Our daughter has been attending this school for almost three years, and our son for over a year. We have always respected school policies and have never caused any issues. A few days ago, my son had a fever. We followed the school’s 24-hour no-medication policy exactly as required. This morning, I dropped him off and informed his teacher that he had just recovered, might be a bit emotional, and that his last dose of medication was more than 24 hours ago. I also asked that he not play outside later in the day. About half an hour later, I received a call from the school asking me to pick him up because they claimed we had not followed the 24-hour policy. They even confused which child they were referring to. I went to the school to clarify that his last medication was indeed more than 24 hours earlier, but Nikki refused to listen or verify the facts. I requested to speak directly with the teacher to clear up any misunderstanding, yet Nikki denied my request and insisted I either take my child home or get a doctor’s note. It is unreasonable to expect parents to spend money on a doctor’s visit just to correct an internal communication mistake. A two-year-old being fussy after an illness is normal — that should not be treated as a medical issue. When I picked up my son, he was happily playing indoors, not upset or sick as they described. His teacher claimed to have checked his temperature every hour and that it was “rising,” but he had only been at school for about an hour. When I asked to check his temperature on the spot, I was refused and told to take his belongings and leave immediately. When we returned home, his temperature was 98.5°F, completely normal. We pay nearly $4,000 a month in tuition for our two children, yet we were denied the basic right to have the situation properly reviewed. Over the past three years, even when our daughter was injured at school and required stitches, or when she was repeatedly pushed and bitten by the same child, we never blamed the school or caused trouble. We’ve always tried to be understanding. However, this experience was truly disappointing. The staff made a decision based on incorrect information, refused to communicate or verify facts, and placed the burden on us to prove them wrong. Parents deserve fairness, communication, and professionalism — none of which we received today.

We’ve had a wonderful experience over the last few months here. The staff is super friendly and they utilize technology such as their app to communicate the curriculum goals and send photos during the day. Our daughter loves how caring and comforting the staff is. We especially love all of the extras like spirit week where they do fun pajama day and things such as a book fair and other activities that just make it super special.

My family is so happy with Kiddie Academy. My daughter needs some extra TLC and the kiddie academy staff has always been very supportive of her needs. They are very communicative and include me in strategies that will work for her. I can tell that she is very loved and well taken care of while she’s there.
