What Parents Say
Kiddie Academy of Staten Island receives exclusively positive feedback from parents. Parents consistently praise the caring and attentive staff, clean facilities, strong curriculum, and director Ms. Carina's exceptional leadership. Children show enthusiasm for attending, display educational progress, and develop strong bonds with teachers.
My 2-year-old son started daycare on Sep 4 and on his third day attending, he was injured on the back of his head. His teacher was changing another child's diaper and saw my son, who was in the same room, climbing. She then turned her back to continue her work, allowing my son to fall and hit the back of his head on the floor. She picked up my son while leaving the other child unattended on the changing table. While my son was crying, she sat him on the changing table and again resumed the diaper change. This incident happened around 9:50 a.m., yet no one called me or my husband to inform us. When I arrived to pick him up at 11:50 a.m., an assistant ( Rebeca) came outside and handed me a piece of paper, asking me to sign that I had been told about the incident. I immediately asked to see my son, but it took them another 10 minutes to bring him to me. When he saw me, he began crying and shaking. When I hugged him, I saw a large bruise and bump on the back of his head. I asked to speak with Carina immediately and asked if she had seen what happened or checked on my child. She told me she had not. My son's health is still at risk given the trauma this caused him and us as a family. I requested to see the camera footage and was horrified by the lack of professional care he received afterward. Not only was I not informed for almost two hours, but my but my child was not supervised to ensure he was okay during that period. While all of this was happening in the changing area, all the other children were left alone and unattended in the room. The assistant, Rebeca, was not in the room when the incident occurred and did not come immediately afterward. When I asked why I was not called, she said she "forgot." If you want your child to come home healthy, do not send them to Kiddie Academy. My son's life was in danger, especially during the hour after the incident when no one informed me, and he may have a possible fracture at the back of his head. I am deeply disappointed, incredibly sad, and completely traumatized. Never send your child there!
I usually don't write reviews but this school deserves it. My 3yo daughter has been attending this wonderful school since last year September. She's in 3k. The school itself is beautiful and very clean. Very inviting atmosphere, very friendly staff and overall a very safe and welcoming environment for the children which is very important for a parent to feel. The school director Ms. Carina goes above and beyond for every parent and child. I feel like my daughter has been been thriving and I can see her progressing in speech and overall educational progress. She's so happy there that when I pick her up from school she tells me " mommy Ariella is happy " which as a parent that's all I need to hear to understand that she's in the right place.
We had a wonderful experience at Kiddie Academy. My granddaughter attended 3K and Pre-K and we couldn’t be happier with the care, support, and education she received. The teachers are kind, patient, and truly dedicated to helping the children grow and learn in a fun and nurturing environment. Highly recommend this school to any family looking for a great start for their little ones.
My nephew attended Kiddie Academy, and I can’t say enough great things about this place. The staff is incredibly kind, patient, and truly invested in the kids’ development. Every time I picked him up, he was excited to tell me about his day, whether it was a fun activity, a new friend he made, or something cool he learned. The curriculum is fantastic—he’s so smart and well-prepared for the next steps in his education. You can tell they put a lot of effort into making learning engaging and fun. Highly recommend to any parents looking for a top-notch early childhood program!
Horrible daycare, no wonder this daycare has only 3 starts, we should have thought twice before taking my nephew there who was badly injured. We should have taken these reviews more seriously. They are careless, I would not recommend this daycare to nobody, and I think the state needs to go check this facility and take their license away.
