Kiddie Academy At Watchung Square

I absolutely love this daycare. I am one of those moms who didn’t like daycare and was scared to leave my child with anyone .This daycare has totally changed my mind about how horrible daycares could be . They have cameras that I have access to and I’m able to check in on my little one anytime I feel worried . Every time I check in she is always in a good mood either playing with the teachers , doing an art and craft ,eating , sleeping etc . Her teachers are amazing and always working with me to make sure my baby girl is meeting her milestones. The director and assistant director are amazing and always helpful with any concerns/ problems I may have . They know how to keep a conversation respectful and professional and are always willing to go the extra mile to assist me. I highly recommend this daycare if you’re a new mom and looking for childcare you can trust and will give you a peace of mind .

My daughter has been coming here since she was 1 year old and now she’s about finish preschool. The staff is caring and truly treats the children like family. My child is happy, learning, and excited to go each day.

I have had as great exeperience at Kiddie Academy. After experiencing 2 bad daycare experiences prior I am appreciative of the staff there. Both my children have been challenges for the staff there and they stepped up to the challenge. My 18 mth old was a horrible biter and instead of shying away they helped me deal with it and gave me resources to help at home. With their help AND patience he grew out of it. My other child was autistic. Other facilities didn't know how to handle his quirks and temperament. They met my baby with love, affection, space, and understanding and so my son loves going there. He HATED going to other Daycares! The staff and management were flexible and understanding when we had to start and stop for any reason from health issues to financial challenges. They met me and my children where we were. My youngest is phasing out and going to public school soon, which is Bitter Sweet. I'd recommend them to any mom! Love the staff there from management to the teachers!

I witnessed something no parent should ever have to see — one of the teachers aggressively trying to force my 3-year-old to sleep. She yanked a blanket from under him, turned him roughly, and began forcefully laying him down. When I reported what I saw, the teacher was only suspended for two weeks and then allowed to return to work with children again after supposedly being “retrained.” The director and assistant director showed zero empathy or accountability. Instead, they treated the situation like it wasn’t serious at all and even asked if I expected them to fire her — as if a child’s safety and comfort weren’t enough reason. The owner supported this decision, which made everything even more alarming. It’s heartbreaking, because it’s already so hard to find good childcare and trust complete strangers with your most precious being in the world. My son was only three at the time, and there were so many other red flags I could mention — but this was the final and only reason for our departure. The fact that this person was allowed to return to work there says everything you need to know about how little they value children’s well-being.

We loved attending Kiddie Academy - Watchung with our daughter. We had a terrific first experience in the infant room with Ms. Trinity, Ms. Mary and Ms. Cathy. It was our first experience leaving our daughter with someone other than family but we always felt our daughter was in great hands. Our daughter had great experiences in other classes - most recently with Ms. Khadijah, Ms. Nahmira, Ms. Clarissa, and Ms. Nemesis. Our daughter knows her colors, shapes, numbers etc in both English and Spanish, and her teachers really fostered a love of the Spanish language for my daughter. We also really appreciated the camera access, and on-site dance and tumbling classes through Bouncin' Bees, which my daughter adored. Our daughter was exceptionally well cared for and loved here, and my only regret is that I cannot take the school with us as we are relocating. Ms. Nemesis even sent a birthday note for my daughter after she left. We will miss this school a lot. Thank you!
