My daughter has been going here for one month. I’m so happy that I found this daycare. The staff is very professional and I love how they communicate with you. I couldn’t be any more happier with the decision sending my daughter to Kid Works.
I cannot in good conscience recommend this daycare due to the unacceptable neglect we’ve experienced. The lack of care from the staff is unbearable—from children standing on tables with scissors ,kids left with snotty, runny noses and always left unattended. However, the final straw for me was discovering that this was the second time in a week my child came home in the same soiled pull-up they were dropped off in. Eight hours without a change is absolutely unacceptable when state regulations require changes every two hours. I am in the process of reporting this neglect, and today will officially be my child’s last day. The level of negligence we’ve encountered, especially while paying out of pocket, is completely unacceptable. I trusted this daycare to provide responsible care for my child, and no apology can undo the harm caused. My child’s private area is now red and inflamed due to their failure to provide basic hygiene. Additionally, the daycare provides an app for updates, yet it hasn’t been used or updated in weeks, leaving parents completely uninformed about their child’s care. On top of that, my child comes home starving. This is beyond unacceptable. I read the reviews and went with this facility and regret it. I do However Kyra, Stephanie, and the older lady in the toddler class in the morning truly care about the kids, and I appreciate them for that. However, the rest of the staff needs to go! It was completely unacceptable for one teacher—a heavier-set Black woman—to think it was funny that my son got hit in the head with a chalk egg. The fact that she had the audacity to say it to my face was a true test of my maturity. No child should be in an environment where their well-being isn’t taken seriously. My MIL picked up my child a few times and nobody even ID here until she said something. His change of clothes was never used. He struggle with potty training because there was no consistency. After a meeting with Stephanie and the director she worked hard on that and they moved her out his class which was a bummer because she was working with those kids. Very vocal teacher but after a conversation I felt it was because she loved the kids. Kyra is just postive, greets all the kids by name and Kathy was just Amazing. That’s why I gave 2 starts. 3 of the reviews are even left by teachers family that doesn’t have kids or even attend this facility. Im praying this review helps a parent in the future !
My daughter attended Kids Works from three months until she was three years old, and as a parent, it was challenging for me to send her anywhere that wasn't family. However, Ms. Kathy, Susu, and the previous teachers helped put my mind at ease. While there were a few bumps in the road with frequent changes in directors and staff, I can confidently say that my child was well taken care of. Yes, there were minor incidents where she got hurt from other kids, but I truly appreciated how the teachers and directors immediately reached out to us whenever something happened. The staff's love and compassion for my child, specially form Ms. Kathy, really stood out. She encouraged my daughter to always be herself, especially with how emotional she can be. Our decision to leave was simply due to the desire for a facility closer to home and wanting more consistency in staffing. I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to Ms. Kathy, Susu, Mary, Kyra, Tracy, and Taylor for the wonderful care they provided to my daughter.
So glad I switched from New Pathways Child Development Center in Fairfield. The difference is night to day and they really showed compassion and attention to my 2 year old during her transition. Thank you to the director and staff.
My son has been going to Kid Works since late 2020. He’s going into Kindergarten next year and they’ve done a great job helping me get him ready! The staff is always so kind and makes sure to keep me in the loop with what my son is doing and learning! Also, my son is accident prone and his teachers ALWAYS know what happened and have incident reports ready for me! They really do a great job!
