Today marks the last day of over three years at Kidventures. This is the school that gave my son and family life long friends and built a community around our family. The school fosters this community and does such a great job creating a healthy, loving, and safe environment for your kid to adjust to time out of the home. I will miss the entire school, from the kindest Director Mr. Peter, head teacher Ms. Jazz and all of the teachers who have taught my son. My son is off to kindergarten having learned so much that he is positioned as an early reader, a lover of science, and a future artist. This school does more than provide childcare, it enriches their love of learning, structure in a community, and develops robust friendships that are fostered. Of course I would recommend, they helped raise my son and I would proudly consider them friends and family. The only important point I would make if you are considering, this school is excellent as a preschool- if you are looking for more self guided play this isn’t your place. This is a school that will allow for creative expression but get your kids ready for a classroom setting. They will work with you if you have a high energy kid.
We’ve had two kids enrolled at Kid Ventures. The oldest is now in first grade, and when she started in kindergarten she was well ahead of her peers academically. Even more important, Kid Ventures helped her develop a love of school and strong social skills to help her ease through the transition to elementary. Our youngest is still at Kid Ventures, and she’s always happy to go to school. Both girls have formed close relationships with their teachers and classmates. Kid Ventures offers a healthy mix of play, creativity, and academic development, tailored to each age level. They’re also great at communicating with families and listening whenever we’ve had a concern about one of our girls. I’m very happy with our experience at Kid Ventures, and I’ll be sad when our littlest graduates.
We love KidVentures! The teachers are all very kind, attentive, and caring. Our kiddo has been going there since she was 18 months and has moved through all of the rooms. She loves going to school and actually gets excited when she realizes it's a school day. She's made great friends there and has really wonderful relationships with her teachers. They have a solid approach to education through play, while also prepping them for kindergarten and beyond with the fundamentals. Every day she comes home with something new and exciting to share about what she's learning. Mr. Peter who runs the school is also very kind and sets a great example of empathy, kindness, and structure. My only gripe is that their parking lot used to be one of Liberty Station's best kept secrets, but now it gets pretty packed in the afternoons. Some have complained about the price, and yes, they're slightly higher than a lot of other family day cares or preschools in the area, but I think the facility and organization more than justify the cost.
Our experience at Kid Ventures has been nothing short of outstanding; all three of our kiddos have participated in their preschool program (the Blue Room for 2-3 year olds, the Red Room for 3-4 year olds, and the Green Room for 4-5 year olds). Their learning environment allows for spontaneous development wherein children learn by exploring. It's the perfect balance of play-based and high-quality curriculum; while it's very much "teacher-supervised," there's also a healthy amount of room for self-directed activities. Their facility is safe, clean, and intentionally well-organized so each little sprout has access to their own materials which fosters independence. Their "pretend play" zone is all time! This space really allows for imaginations to flourish. Our kids' roots have been well-watered by all the educators at KVPA. They're warm and welcoming, approachable and supportive; they truly care for the kids and offer a positive emotional connection. The staff take the time to provide daily updates, share photos, invite families in for events (Muffins with Mom, Donuts with Dad, amongst other holiday celebrations); they really offer a uniquely personalized experience to each kid/family. Their graduation ceremonies are so beautiful and thoughtful; they honor each child as an individual and spotlight their strengths/growth since entering the program. Our kids have developed such a strong appreciation for their teachers, their peers, and for school in general thanks to KV. Our kids have also been well-equipped in terms of their social/academic skills as a result of their program. We adore you KV! Thanks for all you do.
We absolutely love Kid Ventures Preschool. My daughter has been at the Liberty Station location since February of this year and our experience so far has been wonderful. The director and staff are incredibly organized, friendly and genuinely care for the students. They do their best to accommodate the needs of the families enrolled, and truly put so much thought and planning into everything they do. The teachers seem to love where they work and show up with a great attitude every day (no easy task when you deal with toddlers all day long), but it is so important for the wellbeing and mood of our kiddos. I feel there is a good mix of outdoor time, imaginative play time, arts/crafts, gross motor skills, all interwoven with an actual curriculum...my 2.5 year old comes home with fun facts every day, as well as art projects, new songs, and most importantly, a smile on her face :)
