What Parents Say
Kid Town Daycare receives polarized reviews with strong praise from some families and serious concerns from others. Positive reviews highlight the owner Mrs. Crystal's compassion, individualized attention, and family-like atmosphere, particularly for children with special needs. Negative reviews cite poor classroom conditions, inadequate staffing ratios, unsanitary facilities, and inappropriate handling of children with disabilities.
Worst daycare! Always complained my 4 year old son was to hyper because he didn’t want to sit on the floor near her desk for hours at a time. Crystal the director complained my son needed to be medicated for how hyper he was. Took him to the dr and wasn’t enough for her. Dr said he was just a boy! 18 kids in one room with the worst staff who look and act like they hate their job. They don’t provide any food at any time now parents supply from now on. Decided to move my son to a better care center and agreed to give them 2 weeks notice and she canceled my son’s care the day of notice. Crystal is very unprofessional reported her to the state. If you want someone who cares for your child please choose a better center. If I could give them a 0 star I would. Never would recommend these people.
So my non verbal autistic 4 year old had been going here for about 2 years and I’m disgusted on how they terminated her from the day care. The director crystal would Always single my child out and made it seem like she was an inconvenience for them to watch her! Obviously when my daughter can’t speak and says poop I would think they would understand what needs to be done! She only cares about funding at this point! I would even have my daughters speech therapist go and all I would hear was complaining. I wouldn’t recommend bringing kids if they have a learning disability seems like they flock to the kids who can do for themselves plus harassing me all day with threats saying I’m hostile but brings her husband outside when I arrive definitely do not recommend
My son struggled with ADHD and was currently being tested for autism when we started. We were stressed and wondering if we would ever find the right daycare for my kiddo. Then we met Mrs. Crystal and we were absolutely blown away with her understanding of our situation. I truly believe that God intervened on this one. My son struggled with the change in the beginning, but quickly caught on. He would ask to go to "Skoo" on Saturdays even! His sister joined him as well, and she equally loved it! This is a family owned business and it is ran exceptionally well. I never once felt uncomfortable dropping my children off. Unfortunately, due to Summer scheduling, we have had to go elsewhere. We are so saddened to say goodbye, but we are so happy that God directed us to Kid Town during this season in our lives.
We went in to tour this daycare and did not feel welcomed at all. It was not very inviting, when we came they asked if we had even scheduled a tour and I mentioned that I had already spoke to the owner previously. The workers seemed very bothered by us, and no one really smiled, didn't really communicate, or were very welcoming. When we asked for pricing, the lady at the front did not know the pricing and I thought that to be very odd since she is supposed to know those things. We ended up leaving with an awkward feeling and not choosing this daycare.
My son has attended Kidtown for a couple of months now and it has been a true blessing. He loves all his teachers and his friends. He has learned so much in such a short amount of time. They even helped me potty train! He has nothing but good things to say about his school and as a mother that's all I could ever want, is my child to be happy about where he is while I'm working. I hope to have my son here until he is ready for school. Thank you, Kidtown!
