What Parents Say
Kayfield Academy III receives mixed reviews with strong praise from long-term families who report engaged staff, effective curriculum, and responsive management, but significant concerns from other parents regarding staffing quality, pricing, and inconsistent care standards. Recent reviews indicate the center has undergone new management/name changes.
My child has been through the infant, crawler and toddler rooms at Kayfield. All of the long-term staff there are incredible. Especially the management! Like any childcare facility you will get the occasional bad apple who does not care about the kids. When someone like that has come in, they then quickly exit. Anytime I have observed something that raised an eyebrow or caused me concern whether I call in right away from seeing it on a camera feed or address it next day I have always felt like management has handled the situation quickly and appropriately. I saw a huge leap in my child’s education when moved into the toddler room. Their curriculum and teachers in that classroom are exceptional. My kid genuinely loves going to school each morning and seeing the favorite teachers and friends. They have great activities/parties throughout the year for parents/guardians or grandparents to get involved. I truly feel that the staff care for my child. Even the teachers and managers not in her daily rooms often say Hi to my kid and make her feel happy that she is there.
Hi there, I had a concerning experience with a parental figure associated with this academy. While driving on Brownsboro Road, it seemed like this individual may have tried to side-swipe other vehicles before aggressively following me. After I honked to alert her driving, she appeared to speed up and got dangerously close to my car, coming within inches of rear ending my vehicle. It felt like she was intentionally trying to cause harm. You don’t know what conditions people have & that could’ve triggered anything medically, even if there wasn’t physical damage! In my opinion, this kind of reckless behavior is troubling, and it made me question the safety of the environment at this school. As a parent, I would be very concerned if this type of behavior were coming from another parent at the academy, especially if no significant action was taken to address it. I followed up with the academy, and it seems that all they did was have a “talk” with the individual. This raises concerns for me about the safety of everyone on the road, associated with her, as well as the other parents and children at the academy. What kind of example is being set for the children associated with this driver? Has this behavior occurred in front of the kids associated with her or the academy, have the kids associated with her or ANY kid near her, witnessed what seemed to be, her road rage, and how might it be influencing their actions/affecting them? While I don’t know all the details, I do have information about this individual’s license plate, after alerting the cops, I feel compelled to contact additional lawful services, to seek an even greater resolution, because the situation felt very concerning & this behavior from the driver could continue & possibly danger innocent adults & God forbid any innocent little people. I was able to note her license plate because I’m genuinely worried about the safety of everyone else. No one should be so upset by something as small as traffic, in my perspective it worries me what could happen if something so minor could trigger such aggressive behavior. For reference, the individual appeared to be a white woman wearing a green American flag long sleeve hoodie, black leggings, “long” brown hair, and brownish reading glasses, driving a white GMC Acadia. This occurred around 5:00pm, and I spoke with a worker at the academy who shared possible information about the parent and her children. Again, this is just my experience and perception, but I do believe schools should prioritize safety and responsible behavior. I hope she’s out of that daycare for others sake, and I will spread the news until this situation is properly resolved.
Our child is thriving here. The staff is so welcoming and supportive. My child can’t wait to see all her friends, and she’s learning all kinds of things- from counting to colors.
I withdrew my 10-month old from this daycare on on Friday. Pros: live feed cameras Cons: Staffing issues, price, quality of care.
The staffs and children were absolutely horrible when I first attended here years ago.
