Kama'Aina Kids - Honolulu Toddler Program

This preschool is beyond top notch. The teachers and staff are incredible. I am so happy with how much my child has learned this past year. He has truly blossomed and is speaking so much now! When he started, he only knew around 10 words. We are now having full conversations and he loves to create pretend stories. His creativity and love for learning has been enhanced so much through this preschool. I am so grateful that the teachers and staff are so engaged with him and communicate frequently with me. This is NOT daycare, this is a legitimate preschool where your student actually learns (not is just watched playing with toys). The lesson plans provided are detailed and sent in a convenient app so we know exactly what our children are learning daily (the lessons include activities that strengthen their language, literacy, and physical development while also exposing them to music and STEAM)! The teachers, especially his lead teacher, take amazing photos throughout the day and upload them in the app such that not only do I see that he's learning, but that he is engaged, happy, and also having fun. The head teachers for each level all have education backgrounds which makes such a difference! I am so grateful we found this school and look forward to another year of learning, laughter, and love. Great location—only a 5-minute walk from my place. The teachers are great, and my daughter has been going since she turned 1. She’s almost 5 now and still loves it. I’ve had a good experience overall.

The teachers here are amazing. They keep us parents informed on what our toddler is learning and the activities they’re doing.

I love the location and the staff are wonderful. My 2 year old son loves it as well. When I spy though the window I see him learning and laughing. Parking is very good. They offer part time, full time, and day rates and they are a little cheaper than the other schools I looked into. The classrooms could use a remodel/refresh but they are just fine as they are as well. My niece, who is now 18yr old went here for preschool as well and I liked it as much then as I do now.

I love this location as it’s close to where I work in town; convenient location and I can get there in less than 5 minutes whenever something happens to my kid. Staff are very attentive and professional, respectful, and informative when something happens at school regarding my child or in case there’s any safety concerns. I was pleasantly surprised with the staff’s creativity and knowledge in what they teach in class and the learning environment created for the kids. Never encountered any issues or concerns during the time my child was there. Accident happens and so staff are always on top of it. Staff kept me informed in a timely manner as incidents happen follow by providing an incident report; even if it’s just a minor incident which made me feel more comfortable and at ease that my child is in good hands of the staff at this location. Love attending school programs during Christmas and the end of the year events as it resembles a family like gathering and great aloha spirit with all the families in attendance to enjoy a class performance and enjoy some good food (potluck style). They have all kinds of other activities that they offer at this location. As such, one of my kid’s favorite activity/program that they offer at this location was soccer shots….of course you have to pay but it’s worth it when your child enjoys the experience. Also they have snow day where they bring in a big pile of snow…kids love this kind of stuff. I remembered when my child was there, they offered ukulele class, Tahitian dance class, speech therapy, and etc….of course there’s a fee as these services are provided by third parties. I would definitely recommend this location to any parents. The learning environment here is stimulating, creative, fun, and most importantly safe. Staff are always watching when the kids are in the playground and/or in the classroom. I’m confident in the staff’s ability to care for my child at this location, and to teach my child the basic skills and knowledge appropriate for their level as they move up in age.
