Just Like Home Too Daycare & Preschool

Today my two year old son had his first day. Initially it seemed okay, drop off was rough, but this is isn’t my first time at a new daycare with him so I know first time drop off with him is always especially difficult. My son is generally easy to win over though so I had assumed he settled in after a bit. A few hours later my boyfriend called just to check in and make sure he was doing okay and they said everything was just fine, he was in better spirits and other than not eating much (very normal for him) he was enjoying the day. When I went to go pick him up he was in a completely different class than the one I originally dropped him off in, silently shaking in a corner, tears running down his face with another toddler trying to very loudly babble at him, and the teacher was on the other side of the classroom doing nothing. I went to pick him up and he just started sobbing and had soaked through his diaper. This was completely out of the ordinary for us in any daycare ever, so I immediately started crying as well. I went to the front and politely told them I would be unenrolling him. I told them to take his diapers as a donation, I did not want to walk back in with him as at this point he was inconsolable. I asked if we could get a refund for the rest of the week and they informed us that we may be able to get 2 days out of the 4 remaining days refunded but because we paid cash that may not even be an option. I’m so confused why, as I am willing to pay the admission fee and first day. I would really think twice about enrolling your child here if you can help it. Especially if your child cannot talk yet. I know how hard it is to find affordable daycare accommodations in this area, please try to see what other daycares you could qualify for before resorting to this one.

I’m the kind of parent who really needs to feel comfortable leaving my kids with others. I wasn’t even planning on leaving a review yet since my boys haven’t been here that long, but this is already the second weekend they’ve been upset that the daycare isn’t open. They keep saying they want the weekend to hurry up because they miss their friends, their teachers, and even the office staff at Just Like Home. Everyone is always so welcoming, and I’m always kept in the loop if anything comes up with my boys. Thanks for making it so easy to feel at peace when I’m away from them.

I had a tour scheduled for next Monday for my two kids, but I decided to stop in today instead—and I’m so glad I did. First impressions really do matter, because as soon as we walked in, I knew this would be the last place we needed to visit. My kids heard the other kids laughing and playing in the gym area, and right away they wanted to stay. At the other places we checked out, they didn’t even ask about them. Just from the tour alone, I can tell I chose a great place for my kids. Thanks!

My daughter started daycare last Thursday, and even though it hasn’t even been a full week, she’s already talking about her new school and is so excited to see Ms. Michelle and Mr. Levil tomorrow! It makes my heart so happy that she’s just as excited to see her teachers as she is to see her grandparents and other people she really misses. Thank you, Just Like Home Too, for making her first experience away from me feel so safe and special.

My wife chose this daycare, I did not. Fir one over priced. I pay 185 a week. She is mostly wet and when I ask they said maybe she was playing in the water. I thought you should always watch your kids around water? ( She is 3) Then I asked why didn't you change her clothes then? Excuse after excuse is what I got. Then how come she comes home with scratches on her face around her eyes? What I got was well there is other kids here. Other kids that you are supposedly watching? More excuses. Then they take it upon themselves to charge your credit card with no authorization. They don't like when you complain about and then the staff wants to threaten you by saying we can go around the building. What kind of professionalism is that? I for one will not be giving them another time. In fact we will be looking for a new care next week. Consider yourself fired
