What Parents Say
Just Like Home Daycare has highly polarized reviews. The majority of parents praise the staff's care, communication, educational engagement, and use of the Tadpoles app. However, two recent negative reviews report serious concerns including poor sanitation (rodent droppings), neglectful supervision, inadequate hydration practices, and staff being forced to work while sick.
Both of my girls spent their first few years at JLH and we couldn’t be happier with the love and attention they received. The staff truly treats them like their own! Communication was open, and I knew my girls were always in good hands.
Just Like Home has been one of the best experiences for my family from day one. I feel truly lucky to have found this daycare and feel that the staff are extended members of our family. My son is in the 1 year old room and is actively engaged the entire day. How do I know this? When we sing songs that he has learned in school, his face lights up with pure excitement as he sings along with me! He is beginning to recognize shapes and colors too. At both drop off and pick up, the staff can be found engaging with the children; a few times my son didn’t even want to leave because he was having such a great day. Also, the teachers keep me informed about things that are going on in his day, in addition to the information that I get on the Tadpole’s app on my phone. Being able to see what he ate, when he was changed and things that he learned that day are such a helpful tools for busy working parents. Not to mention, there is nothing better then receiving an adorable picture of your child during the day. The staff goes above and beyond for the families at Just Like Home. I highly recommend this daycare to not only my friends, but to any parent who is looking for a loving, caring and extremely high quality of teaching for their child.
Just like home has been such a huge part in both of my children’s lives for the last 8.5 years! I cannot say enough about the fun, love, and education they have given to my daughter and son. JLH provides a caring, safe, and fun environment for the children. I also love the tadpoles app they use to keep you updated on pictures of your child during the day. Tadpoles also supplements as a great communication tool with teachers! Both of my children were more than ready for kindergarten once their time at JLH concluded. I highly recommend JLH ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
My granddaughter goes here. The last few times I went to pick up with my daughter I was appalled by just the rooms alone. No centers, toys looked over used. And the most recent pick up I saw actually RODENT POOP on the carpets! This is just the start of a bad review! I saw one of the teachers from there at the store and asked her how it was going. She made it clear she no longer works there and for good reason. They pay terribly, they allow sick staff come into work and apparently make some staff come in even when sick. This is an unhealthy unsafe environment. Imagine bringing your child into an environment Were they are surrounded by mouse poop and sick teachers! No wonder the stomach bug a few weeks back spread like that! I was a director for 32 years in a school in Florida. This is all very disturbing and absolutely wrong. I feel for the workers there. The children too!
My child went there for 3 days. I work for myself so I was able to stop by at random times to check and see how he was doing. Each day my 16 month old was stuck in the high chair table- no snack in front of him, no juice or toys- crying his eyes out. His sippy cup was always sent back full too and when I asked why he isn't drinking it they stated we don't give it to him except after lunch because we are don't want food getting caked up on the cup... !!?? What? So my child doesn't get to drink all day. To add to all of this the room is small and colorless, the teachers don't look enthusiastic or even look as though they engage with the children. I am a very laid back parent, but I knew in my heart something was not right. The last straw was the third day when I found my son again crying in the high chair table, this time his shirt soaked at the top with tears and nothing in front of him and the teacher standing there talking to each other casually - so I can only imagine how long he was crying. When I took him home that day he hid from me and was withdrawn, not like him at all and a tell tale sign he was being neglected and abused/mistreated. Sorry for the long winded review but please if you have a child do not send them here. Caitlin the owners daughter was very dismissive when I brought these to her attention and I highly doubt this is an isolated incident. My child is now in the learning academy and never have I had an issue and my child is surprise- happy and jumping around every time I go there. I feel horrible I even allowed my child to be in their hands for those three days!!!
