What Parents Say
Just Beginning Day Care receives mixed reviews with most parents praising the caring staff, child-focused approach, and safe environment with security features. However, a minority of recent reviews cite concerns about excessive TV time, harsh staff communication, and slow academic progression.
My kids loved this daycare more than any other one they've been to! They are more focused on kids being kids and not everything revolving around education. While education is important and they do have them focus on it, as well, they allow them so much more freedom to explore, outside time and a lot of play indoors. There's cameras all around the school and you need a code to enter the school, too. They had a lot of awesome activities for during the summer! Since COVID, they don't go on field trips but the arranged for so many activities to come to the center so the kids wouldn't miss out. Such an awesome place to send your kids!
Had my child here for 2 months. My daughter got looooots of TV time here, I think the TV is on all day. My daughter had increasing anxiety about going, I knew something wasn't right. On the last day when I dropped her off, in the few minutes drop off takes, I heard a teacher yell at the kids twice ("get over here!" And "knock it off!") and this was early in the morning before frustrations should be high. I said enough was enough, grabbed my daughter, and left and will never be returning. Also, she's been going for two months and her class has only covered letters A and B, not sure how the rest of the alphabet is going to fit into the year...
Our daughter has been with this program as a 2 year old and we have been extremely happy. The staff has continuously been attentive and supportive of her developmental milestones and she arrives to school happily and never wants to leave!
We moved and no longer go there, but we miss this place a lot! They were so kind, so flexible, and so loving to both my girls. It may not offer all of the bells and whistles of the larger center's, but they love those kids so much. Our experience was very positive!
Called to see if there was availability for my kids, and the lady on the phone sounded very overwhelmed and told a child very rudely to "Go away" and you could hear the child start crying. Definitely not how I'd want my child being talked to. Sheesh.
