I can't believe this place is open. DHHS watched the owner verbally abuse a child. If she does that when DHHS is around, how is she when no one is there? " A child was yelled at, shamed, humiliated, frightened, threatened or bullied. Threats of calling parents because a child was being a 'busy body' were heard during the observation. JH stated she will call or speak to parents about children being 'bad' and not 'minding' and she tells the parent corporal punishment is not allowed on the premises but the parent can take them off premises and bring them back. During the visit we heard JH state "I don't like what you're doing. Your mom told me to tell her if you are being a busy body. I'm gonna have to call and tell her. Oh, I gotta a lot of news to tell you mom. She's gonna be very upset. That means you gotta be good". During the interview with JH she stated she does tell children (two in particular) that she will tell the parents. This occurs when JH feels the child/ren are not behaving. Behaviors observed today were typical, age appropriate behaviors."
