My Daughter and I love it here. They take serious safety precautions when it comes to keeping the children secure which is must needed in today’s world. My daughter enjoys going to school and really likes her teacher. Mrs. R. Is so great with her and she is so kind and is a big reason why I felt very comfortable placing her in this school. The communication is always a big plus and I appreciate getting photos of my child at recess or while crafting. The only con I would have to say is the parking situation they definitely need a bigger lot but they do a great job at keeping the drop and pick up lines moving so everyone can get in and get out.

Im only going to give 2 stars because Johnson in Taylor was good for my child after being recommend by tote at the age of 3 for being non verbal an having developmental delays! He went to this school from 3ys to 4yrs the next September I asked would he be going to the GSRP classroom setting because he was 4!! They told me they would let him stay in the class he was in the previous yr for the month of September to observe him because he still wasn't talking that great! I went to this class when they had Open House. Not to be disrespect to anyone's child....but this was not the setting I thought he should be in !! My child is Non-verbal he is not autistic...an anyone who has a child with a developmental issue...there are different types...just because a kid is nonverbal doesn't mean he should be put in a class room with autistic kids!!! Before October came I Emailed the teacher an asked would they be putting him in the GSPR class...she told me he as made great changes but she thinks he need to stay in this class setting!! I then contacted the principal...because my child had started coming home doing things he had never done before like biting his friends an doing this high pitch scream! I spoke with the principal an she told me she thinks he needed to stay in this class setting an she had her team evaluate him an they sat in the class an observed him! But there was no paperwork, about this observation! I was not notified of this special meeting!! An it was very clear....they were not trying to hear any of my concerns I had about my child being in this class!! The final decision was.. Were not putting him in the GPSR program....he needs to stay in this class!! Now im a fair Parent.... My child needed to be here when he was 3 & 4 !! But at 4 he needs to learn by example...They never even gave him that opportunity...simply because he is nonverbal!! You cant throw all kids who have Developmental delays in the same pot !!!! I do understand that this is how it goes when your child does have certain developmental delays!! Part of me believes he wasn't giving the opportunity because if they removed him he was $$$ for this funded classroom, & to take him out would be one less child they would not get paid for....!! But I removed him out of this school!! Im homeschooling him right now because he has to be ready for Kindergarten next yr.....an its sad that he couldn't get this experience with the school he went to for a whole yr....because they felt he needed to stay in a certain setting , because of their original experience with him....but its mind bottling the teacher said in her email she noticed a great change in him ....but she did not want to give him the chance to even see if he could possibly grow in a headstart setting ....their solution was....he is not ready ....with no paperwork stating there claims !! Just their word!! Against my child!! If my child really didn't belong in a headstart setting .....I would not be writing this review....!! But some children get caught in the in-between of Autism an ADHD!!! An never given the chance to see their potential!!! Certain kids do need to be in the setting thats right for them...but im a fair parent...that dont have any problems with saying...YES MY CHILD NEED TO STAY IN THIS SETTING!!! But if I see growth.... Like his teacher seen growth!! Then let's Help him to the Next Level an not just be ok with him not learning new ways, especially when he want to learn & is curious!!

Both my boys went here I was very apprehensive at first bc I’m a very protective mom that’s never been 10 mins away from either of my kids, one of my kids are special needs and he is non verbal both of my boys loved it, this will be my sons last year here ( my special needs child) and it makes me so sad bc they have the best patience with my youngest as he elopes and has a lot of behavioral problems bc of his autism but they have handled him so well he loves them so much here they don’t get enough credit, Mrs. Tessa has been an angel she’s so great with my boy and has a heart of gold 💛 she understands him and also lets you know she’s supports you through his journey, Mrs Sarah and Mr Kelb also take a great part in caring for him even on his worst days there is a list of teachers that work together with counselors and social workers I seriously don’t know how I would of did it without them I’m going to miss the school and the entire team that’s cared for him the last two years because not only have they helped my son through this journey but they have helped me navigate through it, my son will be going to kindergarten next year and it makes me so nervous because we have been so blessed these last couple years also appreciative to Mrs Craig and Mrs. Kurkis for giving me information on the special needs programs. All the teachers and staff are amazing

My granddaughter goes here. Had another one that went here too. I have so much positive to say about the principal and Mrs Smith! They are just wonderful! Mrs smith I such a great teacher. My granddaughter just loves her. I have had the opportunity to see her in action. She is wonderful with the children. They all love her! Principal is so sweet and friendly! If you’re looking for a great school I have to say this is good. I can’t speak for the other teachers because I only know About her and the principal. I probably could go on with wonderful stories but let’s just say my granddaughter is always torn between going home and staying with Mrs Smith she says well I’ll miss mom if I don’t go home ❤️
