Johnson Child Care Center receives highly polarized reviews, with most parents praising the caring staff, educational focus, and community integration, while a small number report serious concerns about child safety, staff responsiveness to special needs children, and organizational issues. The center has over 20 years of experience and is described as a Philadelphia community staple by long-term supporters.
The teachers here abuse kids here, saw it first hand a teacher slapped my son to the ground.....they did nothing and my son was a toddler at the time so pls ,don't send ya kids here .... they will lie and cover it up and not let u see the cameras .....please do not ,save ya kids frfr .....I really didn't want to give them no stars....but they are the absolute worst day care ....only reason the let the teacher go, is cause she got caught but I'm sure if she would have never got caught, they would have still allowed this to go on.....DONT TRUST THEM!!! Especially with ya non verbal Autistic Child!!! The teacher knew my son couldnt tell me what she had been doin to him ....I thank God,he sent me to pick up my kids at the right time to witness the teacher hit my Child, cause i would have never known.....DONT GIVE THIS PLACE YALL MONEY ,,,,....THEY NEED THE STATE SENT HERE FR....💯n a investigation needs to take place
If it was a choice to put zero stars, that’s what I would have been this staff does not want to care for children with autism not even one week into school. They were complaining about. They didn’t have enough staff for my child who is only four years old prior to this, I met with staff and asked all the necessary questions about them Accepting children on the spectrum. They assured me that they had staff and they do take children with autism however once in this place, it was a different story not even management or the owner wanted to meet with me always scheduled a time, but never showed up or told me They needed to reschedule.
I personally put two children now working on three through Johnson Childcare. Both of my children are straight A students. The staff are caring and provide resources to parents and children in need. Over 20 years in experience! They are apart of the Philadelphia culture and I know a lot of parents and children who feel the same way. Great program and school!
Very unprofessional. Their summer program doesn't include trips or activities. They just stay at the building and play outside. They also don't teach kids at all!!!!! My child did not learn any ABCs like at the other daycares. My child still don't know what numbers are and is about to go to kindergarten. They expect you to teach your kids instead. There were almost no kids in the program and they been in business for years. There is a reason why they barely have kids anymore, horrible service. Do not bring your kids here if you want them to learn. They are also very unorganized because they misplaced my kids belongings so many times and did not apologize. Lastly, they don't keep up with co pays. My co pay went down but they still tried to charge me my original co pay. My co pay went up too and they still charged me my lower copay. Mines kept going up and down and they never monitored it or responded back to me when I emailed them about it. So I guess they dont care about their money. Totally unporfessional! Like a typical Black owned business in Philadelphia with attitudes. They fit the true stereotype of most Black owned businesses.
The best child care center teachers actually teach and they do hands on work with them the kids they are young so it’s also our jobs to help them remember their sight words or teach them their ABC’s as well to make sure that they are ready for kindergarten after having long months of summer the teachers help the kids but we have to help as well as far as trips and things like that volunteer more so our kids can go on trips and have events they always put important things on the app messages My daughter and I love this program the teachers are nice caring and respectful they also have a lot of resources to help the parents as well just ask my child learned a lot here and she still talks about her teachers and even though they have their own students in their classroom they look out for all students and remember all of them as well They play but they also learn but they are small children the teachers teach them but we as parents should be home teaching them as well my child learned alot and she is ready for kindergarten this school year they also do graduation most free prek programs do not do graduation and actually take time to make it nice and let the kids go over some of the stuff they have learned send your kids here you will not be disappointed Thank you jcc teachers 💖
