Melissa and her team have created a really special place here. It's beyond your typical childcare - it feels like a magical learning community and is rich with culture. Loved how multi-dimensional the experience is - lots of outdoor structured and unstructured play, child-centered, emergent curriculum, gardening, animal care, music, singing, making and sharing meals, field trip experiences, exposure to other cultures (in addition to Spanish immersion! What a gift!). To top it off, I found it operationally really smooth, and communications were always consistent and thorough. The teachers really felt like a team, and the parent community was very involved. We appreciate and miss JDM!
We love this preschool! Our 3.5-year-old is so happy here. The teachers and director are passionate, thoughtful, warm with the kids, communicative with parents, and always planning creative new activities to help the kids learn about nature, art, science, letters, and of course Spanish! We were nervous to move from our old (super expensive) preschool to someplace new after our move, but we love Jardin even more. Can't recommend it highly enough! Update after sending our son also and having our daughter in the 4-year-olds: We cannot say enough good things about JDM. This school taught my children not only Spanish language skills but so much more, including social skills, writing, foundations of math. Rather than rote memorization of numbers and addition, my daughter developed the conceptual understanding of numbers, addition, patterns etc. Meanwhile my daughter and 2-year-old son explored in the garden and grew in creativity with open-ended art and building projects. I could not be happier with the way JDM fostered the kind of exploration-based and play-based learning kids need and deserve at this age. With joy! Thanks to JDM, my kids think learning is exciting and school is a joyful place. All of the maestras are brilliant teachers who treat the students with love and care. They teach children how to resolve their disputes verbally and respect one another. The director, Melissa values her staff and gives them opportunities to grow and advance their training. She herself knows and interacts daily with every child. My daughter thought she was one of her main teachers! And Melissa cares deeply about creating a sense of community among families and between the families and the teachers with potlucks and events throughout the year. This school is a true gem. We were so very sad to leave this school when we moved out of the state. If I could pick one thing to take with me it would be JDM!
Melissa has started something very special and unique community here…staff are compassionate and helpful in many aspects of toddler’s emotional and social development. My daughter looks forward going to school every day and comes back home with many stories, she’s in 2s and being at JDM did wonders for her to start communicating and expressing her feelings!

Si estás buscando el mejor lugar para la educación de tu hijo este es el lugar que estabas buscando. No te imaginas lo increíble que es hasta que lo conoces, tuve la oportunidad de conocer diferentes jardines y este me impactó muy profundamente al ver cómo tratan los niños con tanto amor y respeto. Me encanta la filosofía y dinámica con la que se fundamentan. Ahora tengo a mi hijo ahí y se levanta feliz todos los días ! Sobre todo el día viernes que es día de huerto, y lo mejor para una mamá es tener la tranquilidad de saber que está en el mejor lugar. Gracias Jardín de Mariposas ❤️ If you are looking for the best place for your child's education, this is it. You can't truly appreciate how amazing this place is until you experience it for yourself. I had the opportunity to visit various kindergartens, and this one made a deep impact on me because of the love and respect with which they treat the children. I love their philosophy and the dynamics they use. Now that my son attends this kindergarten, he wakes up happy every day—especially on Fridays, which are designated as garden days. As a mother, there is nothing better than having the peace of mind that my child is in the best place possible. Thank you Jardín de Mariposas ❤️
