Jack & Jill Children's Center is a gem in the community that has been around since 1942. Many people pass on by and assume Jack & Jill is just a child care center, but it is SO much more than that. It's unique in that it provides not only quality early childhood education, as young as 6 weeks, but also programming for hard working families. When you visit the center, you are surrounded by such wonderful people, children, and staff, that it's hard not to smile. Just knowing that this organization touches so many lives and makes a difference makes me proud to be involved. All you have to do is just visit the Center, and then you will see why its had such an outstanding legacy in the community.
I just Love these schools, Jack & Jill and MHA. Our daughter Chase started attending Jack & Jill at age 2 and graduated MHA this year. Our son Chance graduated Jack & Jill and our daughter Chloé is currently attending Jack and Jill. I’ve also brought 2 other families with their lovely children to both Schools. As you can see, these are some Awesome Sauce Schools and are equipped with many resources for my family, many others and the community.
I am truly grateful for the incredible support and care my daughter and I have received from the Jack and Jill Center. Expressing my appreciation adequately is challenging, but I will do my best to convey my feelings. After the birth of my daughter, I had the privilege of staying home with her for a year. When the time came for me to return to work, my priority was finding a place where both of us would be happy and in trustworthy hands. A friend referred me to Jack and Jill Center's Early Education Program, and as luck would have it, they were also hiring for an administrative position. The timing couldn't have been better. From the moment I visited and interviewed at the center, I knew it was the right place for us. The staff was warm, loving, and professional. As a first-time "helicopter mom," their reassuring presence gave me the confidence to enroll my daughter here. Now, two years later, I can proudly say that my love for Jack and Jill Center has only grown. My daughter is flourishing, and she adores her teachers—special shoutout to Ms. Janibel and Miss Sarah, you're amazing! She's about to turn three, and she can already count in both English and Spanish. She even practices yoga to relax, and her speech is impressively advanced for her age, which has even impressed her doctor and nurses. She actively engages with her classmates, despite being a bit reserved when she first started due to being home with me for so long. Most importantly, she is genuinely happy. It's an incredible feeling to know that your child is excited to be somewhere. Every morning, she eagerly runs to the door, ready to start her day at school. If you've taken the time to read this entire review because, like me, you need assurance that this is the right place for you and your family, I can assure you that it is. Jack and Jill Center will always hold a special place in my heart for the way they have supported, educated, and helped my family thrive. Furthermore, the knowledge that just steps away, my daughter will have the opportunity to attend their elementary school, Madelaine Halmos Academy, which even offers college scholarships to graduates, fills me with gratitude. What more could I ask for?
I gave the school a 2 star because the resources & Ms. Norma. Other than that…they could do better with their staffs & with sanitizing the toys. Most of the staffs are there for a check. The school couldn’t find my daughter for 30 mins just to find out her & a group of other students have been in the restroom with no type of supervision doing things they had to business doing. I reported the staff for being incompetent & the school reported me to DCF because I pulled my daughter by her arm & said she’s in trouble. When DCF came to my house they ended up investing the school instead of me. Afterwards, Jack & Jill said my kids can’t come back to their school all cause of their staff wasn’t being attentive. They use to always call me from work to come get my son from school because of a running nose that he got from there. But I would see other students with green snot running from nose. They would never say anything until another parent such as myself says something about it. I hated picking my son up with a dirty face or dirty clothes, because why am I sending him to school with changing clothes & he come back dirty. They always reported the bad news about my son instead of good. When I brought my concern to his teacher she corrected it. But why should I have to do that?! I’m sure they get taught that in child care/parenting or even self experience.
