The owner/director is incredibly disorganized and slow to respond to any communication. I attempted to enroll my son and completed all of the paperwork, paid the enrollment fee, and was attempting regular communication that would sometimes take several days for a response. My family was dealing with a custody battle and my son’s father called and attempted to change the paperwork I had -already submitted and sent copies to him as the enrolling parent. The change was allowed and I called to express how uncomfortable I was that this change was done against the paperwork I had submitted. She said she would check with a state contact as to what was allowed and legal based on our custody agreement, but the next morning I received a text stating instead she all the sudden did not have enough teachers to accommodate my son starting in 2 days. Court documents revealed my son’s father called her asking about the last minute change and she allegedly told him I was aggressive and a problem after I called about the paperwork change and that she didn’t want the drama in her school. She has shown that she will communicate different things to each parent to the point of badmouthing one parent to another, especially if the communication is not in writing. It turned out to be a blessing that we did not have our son attend this school. Please be cautious when enrolling your child here. Be sure to have low expectations for communication and if you are navigating child custody or have coparenting struggles, I would rethink enrolling at this school altogether.

Jack and Jill was the first school/daycare our son went to that wasn’t a home daycare. We were anxious parents, sending our child to a larger environment, but Jack and Jill has been absolutely amazing! The facility is “home-like” but very education oriented. It is bright, colorful, and has tons of options for kids to learn and grow. All of the teachers are very nice and kind to the kids and the owner is very transparent, she works hard to keep all of the kiddos in line and parents informed and doesn’t charge an arm and a leg. Hours are extremely reasonable for working parents, even commuters. I can’t say enough about what a wonderful experience we are having. I recommend them to all of my friends in the area and anyone else on community pages that is looking for a great place for their little ones to learn, grow, and socialize to be well prepared for kindergarten. Look no further, this is the best in Fauquier. 😍

Jack and Jill Preschool is a wonderful center! My oldest daughter attended here from the time she was 2 until she graduated pre-K and was one of the more advanced kids in her Kindergarten class. I attribute her readiness to the curriculum taught and attention she received from all the teachers while she was there. My younger daughter also goes to Jack and Jill and is thriving! Several of the teachers that taught my older daughter are still there. If you are looking for a "family" style center that is vested in your child, listens to and addresses any concerns, spends the time to get to know your child, then this is the center for you and your child. Definitely recommend!

I'd give a 100 stars if it would allow me, Jack & Jill is a wonderful Preschool/Child Development Center. Not only are the teachers very approachable and never are scowling. I have never once walked in the classroom and seen a child crying, or being disciplined. Ms. Lis is a wonderful and caring individual, and I am so blessed to have her as my son's teacher. His knowledge with letters and numbers has expanded 300% since he has been there. He has not even been at the school for a year, and has already surpassed my expectations in his abilities to learn. He is always telling me HUGE words and in the correct context. I always am very excited to hear how my son's day was or how he was a "Rockstar" It truly makes me feel like I was there throughout his day. I always feel greeted and welcomed by Ms. Wally. She is an amazing director. Ms. Cheryl, Ms. Danielle, and others are always very welcoming and communicative to my child. He loves this school, and has even asked to go there when his "big kid school" is on breaks. I would recommend this school to ANYone. It's unfortunate that some reviews might not be fitting to par, but like any place everybody has difference experiences. That being said, Jack and Jill is an A+++ in my book, and all of my children will be attending this school.

For some reason my review is no longer on here so I am re-posting my review from 2016. My child attended this school for quite some time. To say that they need an improvement and to step up their game is an understatement. They are constantly changing the classroom that your child is in (also changing the teacher) which becomes very confusing, not only for the child but for the parent as well. You never know where to drop off or pick up your child because again, they are switching rooms way too much. When you pick up your child, you can never find them, you must also search each room for their coat and belongings because NO ONE has any idea where they are!! And they never bother to help find them either. The teachers do not teach a meaningful curriculum, which is not their fault but I still needed to point out. The preschool program does not start until age 4, which only gives the child a year to learn the necessities they need before kindergarten. Which I feel is not enough time at all. In the time that my child attended here, I noticed no difference in his knowledge. In fact, I noticed that his behavior continued to get worse. Maybe due to the fact that there is no consistency in this school, or maybe the fact that he continued to get into trouble for petty things. ( for example, I received a Letter home that he had a bad day for trying to kiss a friend, and because he dropped a cookie and ate it off the floor). Typical 3 year old behavior. I complained at one point because he continued to come up with poopy underwear and no one would notice and change him (even though he stunk) and no one would help him to wipe to prevent this issue. Literally THE NEXT WEEK after I complained, I was bombarded with a meeting when I walked in for pickup stating that my child's behavior has been out of control for months and was basically given no choice by the owner and director but to get my child tested for special needs. What!?!? I was confused as to why his behavior WAS NEVER mentioned before. I can not tell you how much my son has improved since LEAVING this school. He knows his ABC's, he can count to 10 in Spanish, his behavior has improved DRAMATICALLY, he even comes home singing songs that he learned. The best thing about this school was our last day and never having to come back!!!! There are a few good teachers, but the director Ms. Wally and owner Ms. Liz just make this place hell in a hand basket. NOT the jack and Jill school that it used to be when I attended as a child! No one ever tried to "help" my child. If you consider forcing us to get him tested for special needs because he doesn't "behave like a normal three year old" (even though his pediatrician, special needs teacher that we spoke to, and multiple friends and family members said he is completely normal and actually advanced for his age!!) and having him come home crying everyday because his teacher was "mean to him" and he got in trouble for kissing a friend or eating the cookie off the floor that he dropped, if you consider that to be "helping him", then maybe you are the one that needs to be tested! This school helped with nothing but making our lives a nightmare for the last few months. I wish I had listened to the previous employee who warned me not to send my child here. Just beware!!
