Islands Ymca Fun Club

I was treated harshly here at this gym even though i kept my manners. I was told to "Get out" in a rude manner 30 minutes before the gym was closed. Workers assumed my black friends smelled like weed even though the gym was full of different races of people. The head lady of the establishment took no accountability or disaplenary actions twords the racism. She treated a loyal 15 year ymca member as if i was trespassing on ymca property. I am truley disgusted at the racial discrimination here.

This year given tree was so unorganized the first time I ever experienced what I went through already displaced because of a flood my kiddo 16 with autism and im thankfully for what he got but you can tell it was just something thrown together they also ask was we a member yes I choose the ymca for our gym membership paid up for a yr this year is very hard because we are displaced but some family was truly blessed 🙌 this yr bikes pretty wrap gifts and all but I was able to get two bags of food 💖

My granddaughter loves the after school activities. Security could be better. Great parking. Great with young children.

The facility needs to hire well-mannered lifeguards. My family and I visited a few weeks ago, and we felt completely restricted in the pool because the lifeguard was overly strict. As a former lifeguard myself, I understand the importance of safety, but there was a small, inexperienced girl in charge who was directing us where we could and couldn't go. I weigh 200 pounds—there’s no way she could assist me if I were in trouble. Her only option would be to call 911. While the place has potential, the rudeness of the lifeguards significantly detracted from our experience.

It's great! The trail is a good way to get exercise and be around nature at the same time! The ymca is nice as well. Helpful staff and another good way to stay fit.
