What Parents Say
Irving Park Infant Toddler Center receives overwhelmingly positive feedback from most parents, who praise the caring and knowledgeable staff, strong developmental learning outcomes, and excellent communication through daily photos and updates. The small center size allows staff to know all children personally, and the facility offers age-appropriate classrooms with outdoor play. One parent reported their daughter regressed during her time at the center.
My son loves it here. He's in the infant class and has been for about two months. He recognizes his teachers now and is always very happy when we pick him up or pop in for a visit. The staff is communicative and we always have a pretty clear picture of how he spends his time. They send us pictures almost every day, and I LOVE that. It's clear he's making little baby friends and is being well cared for.
I highly recommend IPELC. I have been sending my kids there for about 3 years - my son since he was 2 yrs old and my daughter since she was 3 months old. The staff is very caring towards the kids. The center is small so all the teachers/staff know all the students. There is one classroom for each age group. So the transition to the next classroom always goes smoothly. There is also a gated private playground in the back of the building. That is such a nice perk! My kids have learned such great manners and social skills led by the expertise of the teachers. My son had great verbal and reading development that will prepare him well for kindergarten. The director is very open to listening to parent feedback about their experiences. I am happy to send my kids to a safe and caring environment.
IPELC has done an outstanding job working with my two-year-old son. Not only is he truly cared for, but I am amazed at how much he is learning. The teachers are wonderful and very knowledgable about childhood growth and development. I am very fortunate to send my son each day knowing he will have a quality day. I will soon be sending my newborn there to join him and am confident they will both be in good hands!
IPELC has been a great place for my son who is now in the toddler classroom. As you can imagine for a first-time parent who has never been a part from their infant it's a scary, overwhelming, and heartbreaking time to start looking at day care centers. I heard of IPELC from colleagues at work whose multiple children had gone through their full program and had great things to say about it so I decided to take a tour. When I arrived for the tour my then 8 or 10 week old son was as fussy as can be and hungry and I was emotional and tired! Bardha was completely unphazed by this all and was calm and understanding and let me sit and feed my son and then after use their table to let me change him. She didn't rush us at all and took the time to answer all my questions. Needless to say, after experiencing the care and attention we received in just that site visit we decided to enroll our son there. We started him in the infant class room when he was 3 months old and he's been thriving there ever since. He loves going to "school" and he LOVES his teachers. There are days I can't get him away from Ms. Susan and Ms. Marlyn because he wants to stay with them! He talks about his classmates and teachers all the time and I constantly amazed by what he learns during the day while I am at work. This is not just a day care. it is truly an Early Learning Center! They go outside every day (weather permitting), they do all kinds of projects, learn songs, read books, group activities, circle time, etc. Each day here must be one or two new words or phrases that he has learned at school and it blows me away. Some days he will just start singing a song I had no idea he new! They do a good job keeping the parents informed of progress, concerns, problems, exciting things they did etc. I can't say enough good things about IPELC, we live pretty far out of the way from the center but continue to bring our son there because of the learning, love, attention and support Taylor receives there. It's worth the extra drive. I highly recommend this place.
My daughter has been there since she was 8 months old. My wife and I love it there. Her teachers are amazing! She has learned so much being there which we really appreciate!
