International Montessori Academy Of Minnesota

My son attended this school from 3-6 years old. We loved the school and the teachers. Within 9 months of starting my son was reading. He loved school and still talks about it (3 years latter). The school is clean, organized, well run and has an excellent teaching method. We had to leave when we left the MN, but would love to enroll again if we return.

We have 3 children at this school as we have been happy with it; 2 started at 2.5 years or so. This is a small business and these unconsionable internet attacks can be the ruin of it. Maybe there is disagreement with the style of child rearment but it loses credibility and invokes pettiness with a wild array of charges coupled with third hand information and innuendo. It seems incredulous that 2 people interested in destroying the lives of children concoted this elaborate James Bond like scheme and got away with it for over 25 years ? To what end ? And maybe - as somebody pointed out - some of the immediate responses have been erratic but considering these attacks on something that has taken years to build, its understandable. Our expeience : The owners do not seem to be concerned about money or material goods. They charge a modest tuition and have a modest home and modest cars. In addition, they have modified their home basement into a ballet studio for the kids. They have made their backyard into a garden for the kids to study flora. Our children have superior intellect to most in all the neighbourhood - yes all. I know this from observing their conversations and interests. Our children have learned the violin, piano, and ballet which none of the neighbourhood kids know - none. Our kids love programs on PBS : Nova, National Geographic, Sherlock Homes, Hercule Poirot, Nature, etc - a tribute to the schools ability to teach kids to enjoy learning. We recently returned from a vacation in Ireland and England where people heaped praise on our kids behaviour and intellect - especially our 4 year old, the youngest. Both my wife and myself have advanced degrees in science and are happy to discuss the school with anyone. You will notice that we didnt post anonymously as well. Peace

I was a student as this school (I am now 24). This school changed my life and I highly recommend you send your children here. The teachers are intelligent, caring, diverse individuals who truly put your child's education and well being at the highest priority.
