What Parents Say
Inspire Preschool is a highly-regarded religious preschool in Denver run by two experienced lead teachers, Katie and Sharon. Parents consistently praise the small class sizes (12 children), individualized attention, and developmentally-informed curriculum that balances social-emotional growth with academic advancement. All reviewers report their children thrived and loved attending school.
Our son had actually been enrolled in a Montessori preschool and a week before he was due to start (Sept. 2024) we received an email stating the teacher had quit and they'd be merging two classrooms and asking for a "State Variance" to have over 30 kids and 1 bathroom. We immediately choose NOT to move forward with that school and began a frantic search for a last minute preschool opening. We were so fortunate to find Inspire! Sharon & Katie are the two incredible, caring lead teachers with over 20+ years of experience. The small classroom sizes (limited to 12 kiddos) ensure your child gets the one-on-one attention they deserve in their first foray into a classroom setting. Sharon & Katie run a tight ship but it works, and the children flourish in an environment based on kindness and understanding. The program is child-focused, centering around each group's interests as a whole and teaching them ways to cope with social and emotional struggles that children are exposed to as they grow. Our son has truly thrived here and is excited to start his second year in a few weeks! If you're looking for a high quality, small class preschool, do yourself a favor and check out Inspire. You won't regret it!
My family sent both of our kids to Inspire over the course of three years. Our only regret is that we didn't discover Inspire sooner! We can't recommend it enough. Katie and Sharon *are* the school. This is not an institutional facility with rotating staff and kids being juggled around. Katie and Sharon cared very deeply about our kids and their day-to-day was always specifically tailored to their needs and interests (which aren't always the same thing!). Our kids were excited to go to Inspire everyday and made great friends there. But we also worked through various behavior issues and development goals with Katie and Sharon. We always felt like we were on the same team and we are thankful for all of the effort and attention that Katie and Sharon have put in over the years. My wife and I would be happy to chat with anyone considering Inspire and you can get our contact info from the school. We think you will be happy you did!
Our son went to Inspire for his last year of preschool. Katie and Sharon have created a world for kids where they have a structured intro to the school experience while they're also able to explore their creative interests. The physical space is wonderful with arts & crafts, a stage for acting, a pet bunny to care for, and an outdoor area for kids to get fresh air every day. Each day a student has an assigned job to give them a sense of responsibility. We looked forward to the daily updates with pictures to show the latest happenings. Some highlights were students choosing their own book to read and then acting out the book as a class where each student would have a chance to play different roles and really develop an understanding of the story. Each week students write each other notes - this helped develop writing skills and built a community within the school as kids (and parents) look forward to the notes that come home at the end of each week. There was also a space learning module that went on for several weeks and helped develop curiosity in our son to learn more about the planets. Katie and Sharon impressed us with their passion and commitment to create a space where kids can learn and develop.
I cannot speak highly enough of our 3 year experience at Inspire Preschool. We loved the teachers, Katie and Sharon, who are extremely knowledgeable and passionate about helping the children learn and explore in a play-based environment. It is a special place that gave our child a foundation to love learning. Beyond helping our child, they also helped us as parents navigate through the different stages of our child transforming from a toddler to a kid. They have so much experience and advice to help guide parents through those growing pains. Our child would not be where he is now without them. Wish we could have stayed another year!
Katie and Sharon are two master teachers who own and run the school together. I've told them a thousand times they need to write a book. Their knowledge of early childhood development is unparalleled. Their Reggio curriculum is so well done. They do truly inspire your kids and help them learn and grow unlike any other preschool.
