What Parents Say
Innovation Station LLC receives overwhelmingly positive reviews from most parents who praise the staff's dedication, educational quality, and communication. However, a small number of parents report serious concerns about supervision, staff responsiveness to special needs, transition support, and strict late pickup policies that resulted in child dismissal.
I am incredibly pleased with the care and attention my toddler receives at this facility. The staff is exceptionally kind, patient, and dedicated to the well-being of each child. The environment is always clean, safe, and filled with engaging activities that foster learning and development. My child looks forward to going every day and has shown tremendous growth in social skills and independence. I highly recommend this daycare to any parent looking for a nurturing and supportive place for their little one.
I started bringing my son to Innovation Station when he was about a year old. This was his first daycare experience. I knew it was important for my son to be comfortable around other people and to learn it’s ok to be away from Mom and Dad sometimes. I toured the place and talked with the teacher for my son’s age group. I explained that he was special needs and specifically asked if they were able to provide the care he needed, which honestly, wasn’t a lot. Feeding was really the only area he needed assistance with and his teacher did do well following my son’s feeding therapist’s instructions. At the end of every day the teacher would send the parents an email stating what the kids did that day and attach pictures. I noticed my son was rarely interacting with the other kids or doing the activities stated in the email. I reached out to the director and the teacher and their response was that all the kids in the class move around a lot and kind of do their own thing. I was dumbfounded. Why wouldn’t you encourage interaction? The final straw was when my son had a bruise on his head and the teacher could not explain how he got it. I picked my son up one day and saw he had a dark spot on his head. At first I thought maybe it was just paint or dirt until we got home and I noticed it was a decent size bruise. The next day I brought my son in and asked his teacher what happened and she had no idea. I wasn’t expecting abuse or anything like that but clearly they were not paying attention and keeping my son out of harm’s way. Kids get bruises, it happens, especially when they’re starting to get mobile but if you can’t explain to a parent how their kid got that bruise? That looks really bad. For his teacher to say she had no idea is completely unacceptable.
It has taken me a long time to write this review, there is some serious emotions I had to let go of to write a non emotional review of this company. Unfortunately I have nothing good to say about the teachers of this daycare or the management. This was our first experience with a daycare setting with our first child. The management assured me they were equipped in helping children transition to daycares. This was his 1st experience in a daycare so I knew it was going to be hard. Our son never adjusted, after 4 months. I had many concerns about how upset he was when I would pick him up, but the teachers never had any insight and lacked basic communication to me. His "regular" teacher was never there at pick up time so the girls would say "Hes just adjusting" I emailed and called numerous times without success, until finally I reached a manager, who still said "Something might be wrong with him" "I would take my kid out of here if it were me" Completely incompetent, that no one voiced this to me, if that was the consensus or even a thought of the staff. I finally took off work to go up and talk to his teacher in person and she voiced major concerns about his lack of transition. And crying without being able to comfort him. A lot of heartache and stress could have been avoided If the staff had been educated and followed through with proper communication in this situation. There was 1 very nice girl who took time to talk and play with our son, Inwish I could remember her name. And he loved her. The other staff probably had heard about how he was a crier and at their Halloween party they were very cold to us. I hate to say this but the place felt very clichy at their after hours events. It seemed they were just waiting for me to leave instead of talking to us about how this was not a good fit. I highly recommend anyone who has a child that needs some extra care and attention, maybe who has a hard time transitioning to new environments or if this is their first experience with a daycare, I would look else where. We have since found a great place that is competent in communication with us and he is thriving there.
Innovation Station is a great school! The teachers are well educated & have great lesson plans. My daughter comes home and talks about her day non stop. The staff works well with various schedules. Wonderful communication with parents.
My little one has been there for a year since only a few months old. We really enjoy the teachers and they work really hard to make it educational for the babies/toddlers. My child clearly enjoys the time at school and is learning a lot! Very communicative with parents. I enjoy the daily email newsletters.
