Leaving my baby after maternity leave was one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do, but the staff in the infant room has truly made the transition so much easier. They’ve built such a wonderful relationship with me, and I feel completely confident that my little one is safe, happy, and well cared for. The staff provide structured activities that promote his developmental needs, and they always keep me informed about what he needs. I really appreciate the little notes and pictures they send throughout the day — it’s so reassuring to see my baby smiling and thriving. Thank you so much to the entire infant room team for your kindness, communication, and dedication. We are so grateful for you! -Vincenzo's Mommy-

This school has been such a wonderful place for our child. We’ve watched her grow in so many ways—through what she’s learned, the friendships she’s made, and the confidence she’s gained. The teachers always take the time to share how her day went, they communicate right away if anything comes up, and they really listen when we have concerns. They’ve even helped us work through little things like thumb-sucking and fears with so much care. By the end of the weekend, our daughter is already excited to head back to school to see her friends and teachers, which says it all.

Don’t recommend. My step son has been going here about a year now and there has been nothing but problems. Not only does the director not interact with the families in a professional manner; they do not follow a court order for custody agreements. They have been in violations of the law for MULTIPLE things. My step son comes home every day requesting to leave the school because he’s bored. He had to be removed from a classroom within the first 3 weeks of attending due to the other children hitting, biting and shoving one another. My husband is not allowed to know about his attendance or academics without permission from the other parent. Not to mention ton they illegally enrolled the child but do not care to fix the enrollment or follow the law. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS SCHOOL TO ANYONE.

I work as a school administrator across multiple elementary schools with several years of experience myself in early childhood education, and I’ve had multiple children enrolled at the YMCA Child Care Center since about 2021. One of the most important things I’ve noticed is the very low staff turnover, especially in the infant/toddler rooms. As someone who works in education, I can say with confidence that this reflects a strong, positive culture. Teachers genuinely enjoy what they do here. They are loving, dedicated, and fully invested in the children. While some other centers in the area come with a higher price tag, I’ve found that the YMCA’s curriculum, especially in the infant and toddler rooms, aligns very closely with NAEYC accreditation standards. NAEYC is considered the gold standard for child care centers and early learning, and it’s clear that the teachers here embrace that level of excellence. They take joy in helping children learn and grow, and they communicate consistently with me everyday. I receive multiple updates a day through photos and the app, which gives me such peace of mind. The staff also go above and beyond when it comes to planning: from age-appropriate activities to dance parties, art projects, and creative play, my toddler is excited to go to “school” at the YMCA. I have toured nearly every daycare in the tri-town area, many at much higher costs, and none compare to the YMCA Child Care Center. It’s an incredible balance of quality, nurturing care, and professional excellence, and I feel grateful every day that my children have had the chance to connect with such a caring place.

One out of the multiple times I've picked up my daughter..I don't live far so as soon as we got in and I took off her pull up this is how full it was. The other photo is to show how she scratches herself after the staff let's the children play in dirt. I was told to bring her a hat in so it doesn't get in her hair. What about her sensitive skin? What about the stye in her eye? I'm not sure why staff defends the children playing in DIRT and if thats what other parents allow that's fine. However, I don't want mine to.
