At around 10:20 this morning, I was coming up to the grain elevators.. a bunch of bundled up kids were near a black Monte Carlo next to the street...I was already under the speed limit and slowed way down due to the children...Standing with the children was a short lady, above average weight, dark curly hair, up in ponytail, with a dark jacket with a hood..I saw her grab one of the children by the left arm, and then the unmistakable movement of a swat to the behind...it wasn't a harsh swat by any means, but whatever the situation, highly unprofessional and inappropriate for daycare (in my opinion) I don't want to ruin anyones life, but I remember as a 5 year old when a teacher clawed my arm because I colored outside the lines...I never told my parents until I was an adult...I was too afraid, maybe the child was hers, but I do not know...I rather be safe than sorry...If the child had tried to run out into the street, by all means, grab the child, but if that was the case, I would be writing of praise and not of deep concern.
