What Parents Say
Parents praise the multilingual immersion programs, particularly French and Spanish instruction, with students achieving strong language proficiency. However, reviews highlight significant concerns about administrative organization, inconsistent management across campuses, and infrastructure limitations. Overall experiences vary considerably depending on campus location and grade level.
If I could give 0 stars I would! My child attended the Global village preschool campus three years ago (she was only 4!) and was not only bullied by the kids but ALSO by the teachers!! I hate that I ever allowed her to attend this school,(It really has affected her) she still talks about the bullying that happened to her at this school. Towards the end of the school year she would cry almost every day because she did not want to go and was afraid of the teacher(Bertha)! If you were the teachers favorite you were treated as such. If not, you were bullied, again by both teachers and kids. Think about where you want your child to be, not just to learn a second language, but academically, what about their emotional and social needs, what if your child has a learning disability-Is this school willing to help them? My daughter learning a few Spanish words was nothing compared to the mental trauma placed on her. I must say that this school 100% did NOT provide a loving or safe space for my daughter- *my own personal experience*
My daughter is in 3rd grade here and now that the administration has settled down this school year (they transitioned through 3 teachers for my daughter), I found that she is learning a lot. I hope that the school will adjust to the large group of students that they have to provide a better teacher/student ratio. She is learning a lot and I love how diverse the school is!
I have a 1st and 3rd grader in this school both started here in kinder. We are in the French village and have had an amazing experience. My 3rd grader speaks understands, reads, and writes fluently o. French with no prior exposure to the language. The teachers make my children and I feel welcomed and make sure to communicate consistently.
Our daughter attended this school for three years and learned a lot from the language teachers. Unfortunately the English teachers were inadequate at best, especially in 2nd grade. The organizational skills of the administration were poor, which resulted chaos and confusion. The diversity of the student body was encouraging. The concept of the school was great but the overall execution of this academic concept was lacking.
I've tried to get my son out Rate and reviewof the school all year but it's the only school in our area that is not full. The school is fairly new but poorly maintained. The teachers i've come across have done a wonderful job so far (West Campus) but the staff does not follow proper protocol according to their own handbook. I was blown off twice by the office administration and was once told they were not able to help me as there computers were off for the day. I'm so disappointed in this school from almost every aspect it's hard to fathom. If you can go somewhere else - DO! This is in regards to the WEST CAMPUS only.
