What Parents Say
ID Creative and Performing Arts Academy is a performing arts center that receives mixed reviews. While many parents praise the welcoming community, enthusiastic staff, and opportunities for young performers to gain stage experience, others express concerns about hidden costs, last-minute requests, and perceived favoritism toward older/more experienced children.
Please be aware that the fee for a week of theater camp is just the beginning. Expect a VERY last minute email asking you to print your own script of over 150 pages that cost us $30 to print. We were also asked to make his costumes and he had THREE. The older kids get the attention and the focus. Glad he had some fun before we ran for the hills before we were asked to feed the staff or pay the electric bill.
My daughter is so excited to be in her first musical! Ms. Tina is very enthusiastic and called me back right away to answer all of my questions. She seems flexible and easy to work with. With lots of locations and parts for everyone who auditions (even young kids), PAI seems like an excellent place for new performers to get a feel for the stage, learn new skills, and have a lot of fun!
If your child has never preformed on stage before, Performing Arts is a good place to try it for the first time. However, if they have acting experience and it is not possible for you to donate extra money for the theatre, DO NOT send your child to this company. They are not given parts based on their talent. Plus, during COVID no refunds were provided. In fact, they asked for more donations.
This place is a wonderful place to express yourself through performing arts. I recommend this place to any young aspiring actors. This is a great place to meet new people and make new friends. This place has changed my life. I love all the directors including Ms. Tina and Ms. Cheryl. Everyone is nice and welcoming. It is all in all a great place to be.
The kids have been participating in plays here for years. The staff is kind the the programming changes often. Nice little community theater all around.
