What Parents Say
I-CARE has strong positive reviews from most parents, with praise for staff care and developmental support over its 25+ year history. However, one recent parent reported discriminatory treatment based on income level, aggressive owner behavior toward parents, and health concerns. An older review from 2011 mentioned witnessing inappropriate physical discipline.
I am one of the kids there back in 2011 and I remember having bad memories and good ones in here. I left because I witnessed a child getting hit while held upside down and told my mom they hit me even though that didn’t happen. I lied to get out of there. For the good moments I loved the photos I took there and I still have them to cherish memories I’m now 18 and I’m glad to send a review on this and I hope this place changed even after mistakes in the past! ❤️
Our family loves I Care! Our daughter Frankie started going to I Care part time at 13-months old, and full time starting this year. She absolutely loves it, especially all of the wonderful instructors. They also throw several evening events throughout the year that include the parents, which is a really nice way for the families to get to know one another.
Everything was ok for the first few weeks. But The owner Mrs jones is one of the most aggressive people that I've ever met. (This is towards the parents, I can't say towards the children). Her tone is consistently harsh and loud, which makes for terrible customer service. If I could have taken my daughter else where as soon as I noticed that I would have. My daughter has had a diaper rash one time(she is almost 2) and shortly after she started at I care, she started to develop the worst diaper rash, it was so bad that she would scream when I would change her, I could hardly give her a bath properly because she was so uncomfortable. Another thing that truly bothered me,and offended me deeply was that it was so clear that my family, including my daughter were being treated different, being discriminated against because we were one of the lower income families. When in reality, a child is a child and they should all be treated equally. Every other day it seem to always be one thing or another. It almost seems as if they would make things difficult just to give me a hard time. This place has completely changed over the years, and it's not for the better. This is one of the cheaper places in the area, and it's always true...you get what you pay for. Before my salary dropped i was paying almost twice as much when my daughter was in a private daycare facility. I remember second guessing myself asking was this smart to pay this amout of money, and I now I know that I was doing the right thing. My family and I were treated 3 times better. It's unfortunate, especially when it comes to our children, but the reality is...Money talks. I wouldn't recommend this facility. Poor people skills, poor management, and you won't be treated equally or fairly.
This daycare has been a staple in the community for over 25 years. I entrust my granddaughter hold heartedly with this facility. Your child will learn, play, grow and develop into the scholar all parents wish to have. Children receive the love and attention that is unparalleled. I have recommended I Care to any/everyone that has asked me about childcare.
Mrs. Jones is an Angel she took my son who's was not yet diagnosed with Autism and she gave my son a chance and I will be forever greatful and it was so nice I had to try it twice my younger son is attending there as well and he loves it!
