I first started going to Lifehouse when I was 15, due to my life circumstances at the time. Instantly, this place spoke to me. I felt uplifted and a sense of purpose like I haven’t ever before. I was baptized at this church by pastor tony, it was a beautiful moment and day. As time went on, I strayed away from the church due to a heartbreak I had, and then throughout the years my beliefs started to lean elsewhere. I started feeding into the popular notion today that the “universe” is our god..but luckily I have made my way back to the lord and his grace. I now attend this church again at the age of 21.. 6 years later and I find my way back. Though pastor tony is no longer there, it’s still such a wonderful place. The singers have beautiful voices and there’s still passion in the lessons. My goal is to continue to come every Sunday, and I now look forward to it. It’s been my rock, and the strength I’ve had ever since accepting the lord again, is unshakable. Life house is definitely full of life!
I attended this congregation back when it was called HUMC. This is one of those places that changes a name in the hopes that you didn’t notice nothing else changed. My family loved it here because my dad was an abusive alcoholic and if you paid them enough money they would forgive anything you did wrong. Having to watch my dad talk to everyone and later tell me “see? They like me,” as if my teenage angst was driven by my distaste for him personally and not because he punched me in the stomach the night before because I had the audacity to wash the dishes with the wrong cloth. I recommend this place if you’re hiding something. A true paradise for the people who are a member of quiverfull or moonie or twin flames. The church will aid you in whatever oppressive pedagogy you’re forcing on your kids. Not only will they help you but they’ll even silence dissidence with their own resources. I’m sure there was a reason Meyers was collecting orphans but I didn’t stick around long enough to ever find out. Having a dad who had you so afraid to move because of threat of violence didn’t entices much more than just surviving this place.
The lifehouse is amazing, in helping the community as well as my family. From church, to the food bank , the pre-school....which is amazing!!! Every aspect of the church is a blessing!!! Thank you so much for everything, and God bless you all!
