What Parents Say
Parents praise Everbrook Academy for warm, caring staff with low turnover, excellent communication, quality facilities, and engaging educational activities. However, one parent raised serious concerns about lack of transparency regarding confirmed COVID and flu cases among staff, alleging ill employees were required to work around children without parent notification.
Our child just started at Everbrook Academy and so far we have had an excellent experience. Every staff member we have encountered has been extremely welcoming, warm and kind. The Sproutabout app has eased a lot of my anxieties as we have access to livestream video and regular updates. They also offer a “discovery day” before the first regular day where we dropped off our child for a few hours. That helped tremendously with the emotions and anxieties of his first day.
As a parent, I am deeply disturbed and disappointed by the lack of transparency and concern for child health and safety at Everbrook Academy. I was made aware by a staff member that a teacher who had COVID was still instructed to report to work and be present around children while ill. At no point were parents notified that there had been a confirmed COVID case within the center. This omission prevented families from making informed decisions about their children’s health and well-being. Additionally, another teacher has since been out with the flu, and once again, parents have received no communication regarding illness within the facility. For a childcare center entrusted with young children, this repeated failure to disclose health-related concerns is extremely alarming. Parents rely on daycares to follow appropriate health protocols, communicate potential risks promptly, and act in the best interests of the children in their care. The decision to allow ill staff to work around children, coupled with a complete lack of notification to parents, demonstrates a serious lapse in judgment and responsibility. This experience has significantly impacted my trust in Everbrook Academy. I strongly encourage current and prospective parents to ask direct questions about illness policies, staff health requirements, and communication procedures before enrolling.
Really love this daycare. Many of the teachers have been here for a long time and they care deeply. My son did drop-in daycare at 10 months and once we moved to the area he started going full-time at 18 months. They helped him through the transition period and now sometimes when I pick him up he isn't ready to leave. Would highly recommend. He's learning a lot and on the drives home he's often singing the songs he's learned. My son also has some allergies and they make sure to keep him safe.
Excellent daycare. Very good facilities and the staff is very knowledgeable and caring. Our son started there at 3 months and loves going there everyday. He is always happy to arrive and see his teachers.
Great communication from staff and teachers!
