What Parents Say
Hope Valley Preschool (Learning Jungle) receives mostly positive reviews praising caring staff and a nurturing environment, though recent reviews highlight staffing changes and communication issues that have impacted quality of care. Parents consistently praise individual teachers like Ms. Raven, Ms. Jennifer, and Ms. Miya, but some express concerns about inconsistent service and lack of responsiveness.
As a mental health professional who has worked with young children, I find the school environment to be a very important aspect in a young child’s life. Ensuring a child attends a preschool where teachers actually care and promote age appropriate learning is very crucial to their development. This is why I 100% recommend Ms. Raven as an excellent early childhood educator. I’ve seen first hand the level of compassion Ms. Raven shares in the classroom. Not only is she exceptionally qualified in teaching your little ones, she truly cares for her students. Excellent work, Ms. Raven!
I lost confidence and trust in this daycare. Yesterday, my husband went to pick up our son and found him wearing only a shirt and underwear because he had wet through two pair of pants. The school never called us to bring more clothes. What makes this worse is that we are contacted almost daily to pick him up for tantrums, yet in this situation — which directly impacted his dignity and comfort — we weren’t notified at all. Since Ms. Jennifer left, the quality of care has noticeably changed. Many of the teachers we trusted have also left, with the exception of Ms. Miya, and the consistency and communication just aren’t the same anymore. On top of that, we had two meetings scheduled with the director that were forgotten about and had to be rescheduled, but even then no follow through was made. We still are waiting on a meeting date from her. As parents, we expect better communication, accountability, and respect for our child’s needs. Unfortunately, this has been the last straw for us and wouldn't recommend this daycare. Update: However, we really enjoyed our son's first teachers, Ms. Miya and Ms. Kiara in the 2/3 year old class. Our issues aroused when he was moved to Ms. Raven and Ms. LaSandras class. I believe his first set of teachers approached teaching differently, from a place of love, care and patience. Ms. Raven, who was his group leader, did not have that approach with our child.
We have been pleased with our experience at Learning Jungle so far. While there have been some admin and corporate changes (and that's never fun), the teachers, leadership, and staff have gone above and beyond to create a happy and safe environment for our daughter. They also do a wonderful job with keeping us up to date on her milestones in the app, which helps us for peace of mind while we're at work. Plus, meals are included in the tuition. Highly recommend!
Ms. Raven is more than just a teacher, she’s an educator who truly cares about her students’ success. She puts her heart into everything she does and shows genuine compassion, patience, and dedication. Teachers like Ms. Raven are a rare find, and I can’t thank her enough for the positive impact she’s had on my grandson academic growth.
For a variety of reasons, my family has had to use four different daycares in just a few short years. We moved twice, and our last daycare had a massive staff turnover issue that made ratios unsafe and classrooms little more than holding pens. While Learning Jungle has had its challenges, it is by far the best center I have encountered. The staff are caring, the kids are happy, and the education is scaled appropriately to the age group.
