I called needing help with my rent, this is the first time I haven't had enough rent money in 2 years so this is the 1st time I've had to reach out for help. The lady i talked to was super rude saying she doesn't understand how I don't have enough money for rent and basically she wanted my whole life story. Needless to say I told her nevermind . I don't need to be treated like that because I asked for help
I was trying to help a family member with resources and we reached out to Linc. I spoke to Judy and she was so incredibly rude not only to me when I talked to her but also my family member. Just because people are needing help doesn’t give her the right to talk down on anyone. It made my family member not even want to work with Linc because of her. It’s really sad.
Food pantry on Wednesday's around 4pm-6pm. You can only go once a month.
I use to be a very active church member at FBC Wentzville. I was heavily affected by Covid. I worked full time and made (make) good money. However when the world was shut down, my daycare closed and I was furloughed and then terminated. I was also pregnant. Since then there are NO daycares available that take a toddler. I'm on 19 waiting lists. I do work part time during the summer and my 14 yr old watches my son for me. I recently called to see if I could get help with rent. Anything. I am currently waiting on my SAFHR payment to hit my landlords account and they continually are threatening me of eviction. Instead of LOVING IN THE NAME IF CHRIST. I was crusified today. I was grilled and judged by the lady on the phone. It's sad. They say ask for help. Lay your pride down but when you ask for help. You are judged and turned away! Really shook my faith today. I will never again turn to this church or call this my home. I do pray for their judgemental ways. Thank you. I know it's been a hard year but I will get out of this hole! Alone I see but I'll get out of it!
I know Linc gives food away from their food pantry to anyone who needs it, but regarding other emergency assistance (such as a motel room, etc.), I believe there's some age discrimination who gets this kind assistance, especially from Judy who's suppose to be the receptionist but acts as a manager sometimes. I believe she doesn't want to give emergency assistance to older adults and will give very little (if anything), even if she's able to do more. I believe Paul Kruse at First Step Back Home also discriminates based on age, only wanting to help younger people and not older adults. This explains why there are only "young" people at the Economy Inn who get assistance from him (who goes down to the lobby and eat supper) -- with no one being there over the age of 45 -- but most people being in their 20's and 30's. Not only will Paul Kruse not give needed assistance to older adults but he'll ALSO verbally disrespect them unfairly and without good reason. I know this for a fact. It's interesting you can't post a review like this on his website and if you try to, it won't appear. It's probably because he's discriminated and disrespected so many seniors, he knows someone will write a bad review.
