Amazing place to raise a kid. I don't know one person who grew up here and didn't become successful or very least an amazing person. They raise high moral but non judgemental standards. Very accepting people regardless who you are and where u come from. sad but happy to see Pastor Bartel retire.
My happy place. The church family is so warm and welcoming. And the school is such a great school. I still get a warm feeling when thinking of my elementary and middle school years at Holy Cross. The pastor and principal are great people.
The school itself is ok. But their “business “ office is completely unreliable. I’m constantly having financial issues with them. Overcharging or just not paying attention to financial details. Happy this is my child’s last year here.
Begun as a Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod mission congregation in a predominantly white neighborhood in the late 1940s, Holy Cross has evolved to include and embrace the different peoples and cultures that now surround it. I was baptized and confirmed in this congregation, and attended its accompanying grade school and junior high for ten years. Once a part of the Holy Cross family, always a part of the Holy Cross family. Distance is the main reason most people stop attending here. Holy Cross LCMS is theologically conservative in its teaching and beliefs. I strongly urge locals of similar belief, as well as vacationers in the area, to consider experiencing the hospitality and love and joy found here.
