Holloway Day Nursery

It's been almost 50 years since I started going to nursery school and met one of most positive and strongest influences in my life then.... and today... 'Joyce Holloway' I went there during and throughout the 70's and I can honestly say I enjoyed this place more than words can describe! So happy to see Joyce still steering the ship here! I remember kids that didn't go here were always wishing that they did. Holloway Daycare was know for a LOT of things then as they are today. I learned how to do flips on the 4 or 5 different trampolines they used to have. We had Swim Day at Bellaire Pool. We had Movie Day at AMC Cineplex, we had Bolwing Day, Zoo Days... roller skating! Man, I was the luckiest kid I know! Some of my most cherished memories were the week long Church Camp that we attended annually in Abilene, TX. We attended the kids church and and the adults attended adult's church that took place daily/nightly. I was baptized with Joyce at the church camp and made some of my best friends, friends that I still keep in touch with today! If you are looking for a family oriented place for your child to learn great life lessons, have great fun, and be well taken care of... you absolutely cannot go wrong with Holloway Daycare! I got to go and visit today and in 2021 it looks like as much fun as it did in 1971! They have upgraded the games a bit... Wii, XBox, Play Station and several Arcade style games to go along with all the outdoor activities (some of which are so well kept they have literally lasted for 50+ years, and as proof by the pics I included are as fun today as they were when I played on them! Today again, roughly 50 years later, I took my son to go see where I grew up (before and after school). Brought back great memories! Not a lot has changed! Here are a few pics from today...

**I absolutely love Holloway Preschool and Day Care.** My daughter was a year and a half the first time I visited. Mr. Joseph gave me a tour, and I immediately felt comfortable, which gave me confidence that my daughter would feel the same way. She quickly fell in love with Ms. Claudia—Grandma Claudia—as we affectionately call her. As time passed, Ms. Ana became her new teacher. I really appreciated that they hired someone who speaks Spanish and was patient enough to support my toddler through potty training. I always notice my daughter’s huge smile when I drop her off or pick her up. She’s so excited that she doesn’t even wait for me to enter the building—she walks in on her own! I’m truly grateful to have crossed paths with Holloway Preschool and Day Care.

Holloway is an absolute gem. My son has been going here about six months now and I could not be more grateful to have a daycare this well run within half a mile of my house. Ms Amanda is the sweetest teacher my son adores her and talks about her constantly at home :) she always has a smile on her face and is so good with the little ones. The facility is clean, organized and they decorate for almost every holiday! The staff is awesome and so friendly, they know all of the children even if they aren't in their class. Breakfast, Lunch and snacks are provided, which is one less thing to worry about for a working parent. The Director of Holloway really cares about the children and works with the parents. I’m grateful for their hours as well, a facility opened for 12 hours really helps especially since not everyone works a 9-5 job. The facility is well thought of, rooms separated to keep the ages apart, but structured so that the teachers are able to help each other out. My baby is happy and that makes me a happy parent!

My family loves Holloway Preschool. My child attends and she enjoys the family atmosphere.

My Family and I have truly received a blessing finding Holloway Preschool & Day Care. Its been close to 10 months now since we first started going to Holloway on a recommendation from a family friend. My baby girl loves Ms Claudia in the toddler class and she is always so sweat and soft spoken and gentle with her. I read a recent review that was written and let me say i was present when that parent was complaining. The child clearly had an allergic reaction around his mouth, diagnosing an allergy is really something your child's physician should help you with to determine exactly what they are allergic to and why they are scratching themselves. Anyways we couldn't be any happier with the fantastic staff here and i even have the directors cell phone number and am able to text them anytime i like nights and weekends and they always reply with in a reasonable amount of time. there is essentially two directors Ms Diane and Mr Joseph and THEY ARE AWESOME!!! i also have a son in the preschool class with Ms Patricia and she has been there for decades. Shes fantastic. My children are always cared for and safe with very experienced adults here who have been in business longer than i have been alive. I realize you cant make everyone happy and some of the main reasons i chose to go to Holoway preschool and day care is because one a family friend recommended them after their child attended, secondly they have been in business forever which means they are very experienced, know what they are doing, i mean you must be doing something right to be in business for that long, being Christian based was also a bonus, and my family and i have continued to stay here because their customer service is awesome. We love it at Holloway and i like my friends would highly recommend it to everyone.
