Hickory Child Development Center

We've had a wonderful experience with this daycare! The environment is warm, welcoming, and always full of energy. The staff are constantly engaging with the kids, whether through play, learning activities, or simple one-on-one time. It's clear they genuinely care about each child's well-being and development. Our child loves going every day, and we’ve seen so much growth socially and emotionally. Highly recommend!

Worst school known to man. Do not send your children there they are very unorganized that it has to take 3 office assistants to do the job of one. The teachers are hardly there which means your children are left in the hands of an aid who aren’t qualified to teach your children. BEWARE

I cannot say enough wonderful things about HCDC! From the moment we walked through the doors, we knew this was the right place for our child. The staff is warm, welcoming, and truly passionate about early childhood development. They treat each child with love, patience, and respect, creating a nurturing environment where kids feel safe and supported. The classrooms are bright, clean, and thoughtfully organized with age-appropriate activities that encourage learning through play. The daily routine is structured but flexible, allowing the children to explore and grow at their own pace. Communication with families is exceptional—we receive regular updates, photos, and newsletters, which keep us involved and reassured. Our child has blossomed socially, emotionally, and academically thanks to the care and dedication of the amazing teachers and staff. It gives us such peace of mind knowing our little one is in a place that feels like a second home. We are incredibly grateful to be part of the HCDC family and would highly recommend them to any parent looking for a high-quality, loving childcare experience.

This place is so wonderful. It truly feels like family/ whether your child’s teacher or not, every single staff member will know your kids and family. A lot of upcoming younger staff members who are consistent and motivated to work with kids. The lead teachers most of have been there for years! We were at other places with a ton of turn over and I love seeing the same teachers day in and day out. The director Tabitha and assistant directors are actually involved and in the classrooms with kids, not just behind a desk like other places. I can’t say enough good things!

Don't disagree with them or question anything, they'll kick your kid out of the program b/c of a disagreement with the parents. And even when you apologize or try to make right of the situation, they disregard you.
