Do not send her child to this daycare if you want them to be safe. My baby was injured at the daycare in the care of the 1 year old toddlers room. It was her first day so she did not know anything about the ins and outs of the daily routine in this room. I was told that she would be in this room for 30 min to an hour. This daycare has cameras so I watched when she went to the toddler room. The toddler room has cameras but I did not have access to them yet. So an hour and a half went by and my child had not returned. My mother's instinct said to call which I did. I wanted to know how my child's day in the toddler room was going. The teacher told me fine but that she had fallen. Now I called them, they didn't call me when the accident happened. The teacher goes on to tell me that they went outside, which no one asked me if my child could because she was just "visiting" the room. Upon walking out the door that leads to outside my baby fell out the doorway on to the pavement. I was told she just had a little scratch above her lip and she was fine. I instructed the teacher to place her back in the baby room, that she had had enough of the toddler room today. I see them bring her back to the baby room. I stepped away from my laptop and returned but couldnt find my child. I searched for about 45 min and I called back to the daycare to ask where my baby was. They had her in a swing and took her out for me to see her. The day went on and when i went to pick my child up, her upper lip was 3 times its normal size. She also was very lethargic, could barely keep her head up which is not like my baby. No one called me to advise that my child's lip had gotten worse, and due to the amount of swelling I know a cold compress wasnt applied to her lip. The teacher, Ms. L.D, placed the blame on my child and took no accountability even though my child was in her care. It was a 1 year old's fault of what happened to her. This daycare has cameras and magically they stopped recording when the incident happened and magically started recording the next day of the incident which was told to me by the director. The teacher edited the daily report to say my child bites toys and bites her injured lip. DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD TO THIS DAYCARE. They are more concerned about covering accidents up rather than taking accountability for them. Not remorseful whatsoever, its going to be your child's fault if they get hurt.
Personally I went to Hester's from the age of 1-7(If I remember correctly) and it was an amazing part of my life. They provided us with Spanish lessons as young as the age of 4,Took us on Memorable field trips. Staff was always kind to the kids and parents.10/10 Would recommend sending your children here!
My son has been going to this daycare since he was 7 months (he is now 18 months) and I have not had any major problems. Yes of course there are little things BUT my son enjoys this place so much. He waves good bye to me as he walks himself to his classroom. My entire family has put their trust into this facility with different generations and I will continue to do the same. Thank you Hesters for everything that you do with my son and all of the other families.
My son has been at Hester’s since he was 6 months old. He is now 9 yrs. old and he is still at Hester’s. I will say the first daycare I had him at, every time I picked him up he wouldn’t smile or anything. When he started going to Hester’s I notice him smiling and showing his personality after the first day! The whole staff looks out for all of the children and my son loves it, especially Summer Camp!
My Grandbaby has been going to Hester's since she was 6 months. Though each year of her transition into another class each teacher has been Professional, Caring and has treated her as if she was their child. This attitude is not only given to my Grandbaby but I've seen each child treated with that same nurturing attitude. My Grandbaby is not the first encounter I've had with Hester's my daughter who is now 26 went through Hester's when she was 6mos until she became school aged. So in saying that I trusted the management and teachers back in 1995 and I trust them now in 2021.
