Hesston College Preschool

Hesston College claims to promote diversity, equality, and the idea of "start here, go anywhere." However, they fail to mention what happens to the students who do not fit within their narrow-minded worldview. The ones that struggle with addictions or have different skin color. If you are looking for a college that will truly help you grow as a person, listen to you, and help you become who you want to be, this is not the place. This is an expensive community college who's only purpose is to help Mennonite men and women meet so they can have Mennonite children.

My son is a freshman and transferred to Hesston at the semester. This has been THE BEST decision for him! We can not say enough about the college and teams, coaches, professors. He says it feels like one big family. No getting lost in the shuffle. The dorms are by far the best we've seen. We've been to big D1 schools, and their dorms didn't hold a candle to these. I very much recommend Hesston College!!

My two years at Hesston College has been life changing in many ways. Saying "See ya later" in May was very hard because of the love I found for the people I encountered at Hesston. Due to past experiences, I had a horrible view of those involved with higher level academia. Hesston gave me the ability to do a 180 on this view. I was in the nursing program. From the time I stepped foot on campus for my first visit to the day I received my nursing pin I felt welcome and loved. Everyone on this campus (students and faculty) loves and accepts everyone for who they are and what they bring to the campus. Diversity is accepted on this small campus! Being pinned by Hesston Nursing faculty will always be one of the most proud moment in my life. When people ask where I received my degree I am beyond proud to say Hesston College. This college has forever made a huge impact on my life. I recommend this amazing life changing institution to anyone!

Hesston College is definitely not on my recommendation list. Only a couple of the teachers truly care about the success of the students, with majority of them just there to earn a paycheck. Do not trust their online advertising, as the flight school information is wrong. Admissions will tell you it is a two year degree, but the aviation department will tell that is impossible, so you end up spending a third year to finish up year two items. Many students from my class have complained and the complaints either landed on deaf ears, or the students got an "oh well" response essentially. Hesston College has made me feel more like a paycheck than a cared about student. I would tell you to take your money to K-State, it's cheaper anyway and they have their flight school figured out with many more aircraft and a program that limits the number of students, that way the students have a higher chance at success. Bottom line, Hesston College owes my class a refund, or the rest of our Associates degrees for free because of the promise made to us at enrollment.

Love Hesston and I miss it a lot. At first I didn't like the school with all the rules but I grew to love it and the people that I shared experiences with there. Everyone is so nice and understanding. The town just needs more restaurants and places to shop.
