I had a very disappointing experience with the Hemet preschool program. Initially, everything seemed friendly and smooth, and I was assured that my son was guaranteed acceptance. Despite the lengthy process and paperwork, I completed everything requested on my part. However, communication quickly became an issue. Weeks after submitting the initial paperwork, I was informed that a physical was needed. After providing this, I was then told that a specific form from the preschool needed to be filled out by a physician, which took additional time due to being on a waiting list. After finally submitting all the paperwork, I received no response until I made multiple calls. I was then required to resubmit everything, including pay stubs, proof of residency, and proof of employment, because the documents I had initially submitted were no longer considered valid. After weeks of emailing with no response, I was told the preschool was full and was offered spots at other preschools I hadn't applied to. I refused to be put on a waiting list as I didn't want to endure the same frustrating process again. The entire experience was very unorganized and unprofessional. I remained patient and cooperative throughout, always thanking them for their assistance, only to end up on a waiting list and feeling misled. This process needs significant improvement in communication, organization, and honesty.
A few reasons I would not recommend this school for your littles. 1. The principal does not take parent safety seriously.. parents have been threatened, hit, and cussed out in front of all the pre schoolers and teachers by other parents. I don't see why we shouldn't be able to peacefully drop our kids off and feel safe at a preschool as adults. 2. Principal discriminates against young and disabled parents and the principal purposefully blocks the parking lot with cones when open handicapp parking spaces are available. Did nothing about this issue even after it was brought to her attention. 3. She allows other parents to record parents and children on her campus if they move her cones to legally park in open parking spaces and I think allowing parents to record other parents and other children that are part of the pre school program is unnecessary and inappropriate. 4. I am part of the parent committee and generously give this school 3hrs of my time once a month on a Friday to be an involved parent and a better advocate for my children and the principal sent me my agreement as a "scare tatic" saying to "set better examples" while she let's parents beat up other parents on her campus infront of 4 & 5 year olds... because i moved her cones to legally park. when I have not caused any issues or ever illegally parked so I'm not sure how im not being a "role model" when I have handled everything lawfully and in a adult manner. So it goes to show, even when you volunteer countless hours and give them your time and trust to help their school succeed they won't take your safety seriously or your child's. They'll just shrug your concerns, and saftey off and not actually do anything. I have went to the district with these problems and harassment issues and they are doing a way better job finding solutions to these issues than the principal herself. Again if you or your children want to feel safe at a preschool then this is not the one for you. This many issues and we just hit the 100th day of school mark. It's a bit much and I will definitely be looking into other schools for my children. This is for the hemet head start program pre school on Franklin St.
