I am now almost 32 years old - I went to Helen Gordon starting at age 2 and have nothing but wonderful memories from this school. I met a lifelong best friend there and we are still connected to this day. My mom attempted to drop me off at three other preschools and I had severe separation anxiety and would cry non stop the entire day. I still remember when I went to Helen Gordon for my first day, I started to cry and the teacher offered to help me write a letter to my mom telling her how I missed her, which immediately calmed me down. It’s been a long time, but I can only say good things about this wonderful place.
My son received loving care and attention at Helen Gordon while I was a student at Portland State thirty years ago. Gentle and sensitive teachers gave him a solid foundation. Now he is a college professor. This child care center was the best then and I would recommend it for my grandchildren if they lived here!
Terrific child care facility for children 4months to 5 years old. Mainly for PSU employees and students, but also open to the community.
