Terrible people steal kids belonging and clothing when the kids are doing activities like basketball swimming etc. My sons essential sweatpants along with $60 and his house key was stolen out of his book bag while he was playing basketball with his team! Spoke to the administrator for HES Steven he was very rude and dismissive (as he ALWAYS is) saying cameras don’t watch the location the kids leave their bookbag so it’s nothing HES could do. My kids will be going to mill basin from now on where I know my son is safe and things won’t get stolen!
Reading some of the reviews.. It clear you cant make everyone happy.. My two kids attend Swimming lessons here.. One of the instructors are great from my kids prospective the other not so favorable.. But that's to be expected from children.. The world is not always filled with joy and perfection.. Long story short haven't had any issues with staff! My kids are learning water confidence.. Its also pretty cool that they have students jump into deep end of pool at the end of classes.. From my overall experience the H.E.S been a pleasant outcome so far.. Not a 1 star nor a 5 star place..
This place is a one-stop shop for all your needs. They have swim classes, after school, summer camp, and much more. I enrolled my child in their summer camp, and I thought it would be low cost or free due to it being advertised as a non-profit organization, but it was about $3000 for summer camp. With that being said, if you're able to afford it, go ahead because it is well worth it. The children go on trips about 3 days out the week, and the trips are age appropriate and fun. They also go on an overnight trip to upstate NY at no additional cost. My daughter didn't want to go to summer camp but after her first day she couldn't wait to go back. The staff are all very, very, very nice and really seem to enjoy their jobs.
Great swimming instructor for my son
I was appalled by the gym appearance! The equipment has lots of rust and most of the weight equipment is broken due to rusting. I really wish I would have taken a tour before joining with my son , but in all honesty I never expected to see the gym in such bad shape it literally turns my stomach to see all that rust also the gym is always in such disarray weights on the floor workout benches in the middle of the floor etc ! I paid my money so I guess I’ll grin and bear it for now.
