My daughter went here for several months. from the time she was 6 weeks old until she was 9 or 10 months old. The staff was amazing. She loved all of the teachers and they loved her. They took such good care of her, and I could tell they really cared about her. Almost a year after she stopped attending, we ran into one of the young ladies while camping and she remembered my daughter! She came right up to her amazed at how big she'd gotten. These people love what they do and they care very deeply for each individual child. They were a blessing.

Parents Beware: I understand that this may be the only option for you for daycare and if that is your case, please join a waitlist for another daycare immediately. HLH seems to suffer from overcrowding and poor management. This results in dirty classrooms, and inappropriately rough handling of children (which we witnessed for multiple kids on multiple occasions). When confronted about the latter, the director thanked us for not informing the state, “had a talk with the teacher”, and then proceeded to say “they were surprised that we would think she was handling the kids roughly”. This review is long because I want you to have the full details of what you may be getting into and to combat any future “responses” management may have to this review. What they didn’t know is that we have experience running a daycare of over 100 kids in a different state and know first hand that there is NO reason for this type of handling but we were willing to give them the benefit of the doubt. This was why we initially gave them an opportunity to respond before notifying the state. At this time we still have not notified the state because we know that so many parents rely on this daycare being open. Please, if you send your children here, keep a careful eye on how the teachers react to the kids.

For starters... I called multiple daycares to try to get my infant into and no one in the Jackson area had any openings except for HLH. So I had no choice then to send my baby here. The place overall was chaotic and not very clean. There were multiple occasions where I can to pick my baby up and she was not in the infant room but instead in the toddler room where no one was watching her and the floors were VERY dirty. I walked in to find my baby putting something in her mouth off the floor and if I hadent walked in when I did she would have choked becuase no one was paying attention to her. Another thing that upset me was there were occasions when my baby did not want to eat her baby food for lunch... so instead the workers thought it was ok to feed her an entire container of puffs. Which dose not fill her up and is completely unacceptable. So she was hungry when I would come to get her. I told them if she dosent want the baby food then to wait a half hour and try again... don’t just say “oh well the baby dosent want it instead I’ll feed her an entire container of puff snacks”. Lastly my child was bit 4 different times here. In the HEAD!they would tell me the child that bit her is going thru something right now so the kid can’t help it.. Almost weekly I was getting slips for accident reports. Clearly either they are not watching these children closely enough or there is not enough staff. They would often tell me at the end of the day they would take my infant into the toddler room since some Staff would go home... which is ok but f your doing that then you need to be watching those babies around the bigger kids which they were not doing. My child litterally only went here for 2.5 months and was bit 4 times. This is insane. I would NEVER send my children here again. And I would advise you to read closely before you send your child there. When your kids are at daycare you don’t want to have to be worrying all day about their safety and well-being and I was constantly worried with this place... to the point I said screw it and pulled her out becuase i felt like a bad mom sending my child here.

Most daycares use a fair share of chemicals to keep things safe. This is one of the few non-water based companies that I had to walk out after entering. The signage have improved on the main entrance, but it is not a good sign that they leave doors unlocked for parents to enter.

My kids have been there for a couple years and they love it. The teachers are all wonderful and it feels like family :)
