My review is not in regards to the church, as I am a Catholic and do not attend VUMC, but to the preschool. My family and I have been so incredibly blessed to have stumbled upon heart and hands Christian preschool for our children. Kelli Young (director) and Lindsey DeGraff (teacher's aid) blew every expectation I ever had out of the water! The rest of the staff seem competent and friendly as well. Kelli and Lindsey are simply everything you would want out of your child's preschool teachers. I highly recommend them for any and all preschool needs!
The congregation was mostly elderly, not too friendly, and when the director of the VBS was asking for 2 or 3 people to help with 5 Grade afterwards because there were so many, no one responded. The preacher talks with prison inmates when he feels the need for wisdom and deep insight. That might explain his lack of Biblical knowledge and experience.
Always a warm, welcoming experience. A great choice for Sunday service.
