This daycare is now owned by Elizabeth Oppong, who previously operated a daycare called L and E Bright Future in Virginia Beach, where my children formerly attended. A caution to all parents: this facility exhibits unsanitary conditions; staff members do not consistently wash their hands, frequently touch various surfaces, and then handle the children without proper hygiene. It appears that your infants will predominantly remain in the swing throughout the day, particularly the younger ones. Parents are advised to conduct thorough research prior to enrollment.

My 1 year old has been there since October. we absolutely loved the teachers as his old school, but I needed to find care that was more suitable for working parents in terms of the calendar/hours and how they handled notice, administrative changes etc. I found that and more at Healthy Environments! The owner Lynn is very professional and the center is designed around the needs of working parents. Jonah's teacher is Miss Lisa is mature and has a lot of experience and he already thinks she's the bees' knees! The outdoor space is by far the best of the beach. Healthy, non-processed meals are made each day in the kitchen (no need to pack a lunch!) That's all for now, but I'll be sure to update once we know all the ropes. We just wanted to provide some initial impressions for parents that are considering Healthy Environments for their family.

HECDC, KDH offers a safe, fun, loving environment to pre school-aged children. Its location is convenient to a large population of Outer Banks residence. Hours are conducive to a variety of work schedules and the director and staff are willing to make special arrangements with parents outside of their posted hours when needed. Lynn's program promotes "learning through play" and incorporates art, music, reading, and physical education into the daily schedule. This child development center also works with your own home routine - in the midst of potty training? No problem! Teachers will meet with you to encourage your little one's home-training program at the center. Meals are homemade, with fresh ingredients, to promote a balanced diet. My family is so very grateful for the fresh start and advancements Lynn has incorporated into this "new" center. Our son is happy to attend everyday - loves his teachers and the friendships he has made.

We had our child enrolled in Healthy Environments Child Development Center as soon as they opened and we couldn't be more thankful for such an amazing place and staff. The owner, Mrs. Lynn, is such an amazing lady who whole heartedly loves what she does. Thanks to all the staff at HECDC for taking such great care of my sweet boy! On to kindergarten! We will miss everyone!

We have found a childcare facility that loves, nourishes, and provides a safe and positive environment. The teachers are fantastic and we get a summary of our daughters daily activities, 'building-block' developments, and meals.
