When I was pregnant with our first daughter, I first went to an OB at a different hospital clinic for our very first appointment and was told to take a laxative whose first two ingredients were red and blue food dye. I also felt I was rushed in and out and didn’t even get a conversation. This was deeply misaligned with the kind of care I wanted. I quickly realized this wasn’t the path for us. Then, I found New Beginnings, and never looked back. They have since delivered both of my babies in the comfort of our home. I have never received better care than I have at New Beginnings. This team takes the time required for me to feel comfortable and grounded at every appointment. They run labs when I ask, or pull up ultrasound pictures to help me relinquish fear and gain deeper trust my body. They listen fully. They honor me, and my intuition. And…They know their stuff. During my first birth, which was way more complex, they kept my baby and I completely safe in a home birth setting with confidence, skill, and deep presence. I have never felt more honored, more listened to, or more supported than I have with the New Beginnings midwifery crew during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. I cannot recommend them highly enough. New Beginnings is truly incredible! From the very first prenatal visit, I felt heard, supported, and genuinely cared for. The midwives create such a warm and comfortable environment, and it’s clear how deeply they care about both you and your baby. Although I wasn’t able to deliver at the birth center due to developing preeclampsia at 40 weeks, the way the team handled the change in plans was both professional and compassionate. They referred me to a wonderful doctor at the hospital, who went above and beyond to honor my birth preferences and make the experience as close to the birth center as possible. Even though things didn’t go exactly as planned, I still had a great birth experience and I’m so thankful for the amazing midwives I had the privilege of getting to know along the way.

Incredible. My first birth was at a hospital and my second was here at the birthing center, I would never give birth any other way. Amazing midwives, amazing student midwives, the owners were incredibly kind and so was Sheila. I loved how calm, patient and informative they were. They answered every single question and never made me feel rushed through appointments. Since giving birth i’ve told everyone I know how amazing my experience was at New Beginnings Birth Center. I cannot recommend it enough.

New Beginnings is wonderful. I have seen them for my two pregnancies. The pregnancy care I have received both times has been everything I wanted and more. The appointments never feel rushed, and the midwives really try to get to know you and your family. I have always felt very safe and cared for at New Beginnings, both medically and emotionally. My first birth experience I decided transfer to the hospital because of a major stall in labor, but New Beginnings made the transfer smooth. New Beginnings also provided me exceptional postpartum care even though I transferred to the hospital. I still very much felt like part of the New Beginnings family even though my first birth did not go the way I planned. My second birth, I decided to try again at New Beginnings. The New Beginnings Team fully made me feel believed in like I could birth the way I wanted even though the first time didn't work out. The prenatal care that I received the second time was just as good as the first time. Thanks to the amazing midwives, I was able to achieve the birth of my dreams at New Beginnings about a week and a half ago. I had Hannah and Dara as the midwives on call, and both were professional, caring, and perfect for my delivery. Once again, the postpartum care I have received has been wonderful. I appreciate that the midwives come to your house after you give birth to check on you and baby 24 hours after birth and also 5 days after. New Beginnings is a special place, and I would highly recommend to anyone who wants to experience an empowering and natural birth!

I decided to fire the medicalized birthing industry! I found New Beginnings and from the very first call I was treated with more respect and dignity than I ever received from mainstream doctors and medical offices. From the receptionist to the midwives and students, I was able to get any questions I had (and plenty I didn't even think of) answered. I learned to look at pregnancy and childbirth from a new perspective. My birthing experience was amazing! My labor/birthing preferences were all taken into account and respected. I am looking forward to bringing more new life at New Beginnings!
