It’s so great! I was shocked how nice it is for being a smaller town gym. And the people working here are really nice too.
I don't actually know if the facilities are good or not because the lady at the front desk told our group we couldn't use the facilities even though other members have been allowed to before at the same time on Saturday (and the full group has been giving them money almost every weekend for over a year). She's the only one who ever has a problem with it. I guess it makes sense why my sister's dance group stopped going here and moved to another activity center. The front desk looked nice though.
I've been coming here for over 2 years and the facility is nice which is why I am giving it 2 stars, but I have stopped going here because one of the ladies at the front desk on Saturdays is very rude and completely ruined my experience. She keeps causing problems I have never had with any of the other employees, claiming I'm not allowed to use one of the rooms that other employees have never had a problem with me using, and saying it's for people to "work out" in, even though I am working out when I use the room. Apparently dancing is not considered a workout or a good enough activity for this center, even though dancing is a full body workout and my favorite form of exercise. I only have this problem on Saturdays, any other day of the week I don't see her and I have no problems. She also claims we have to rent the room, but no one else rents the room and they are still allowed to use it, and I've never had to rent it to use it before. I fail to see why as a paying customer I am not allowed to use the same facilities as everyone else, but when she sees me come in, she makes a beeline for me and starts asking why I am here and what I'm planning to do and where I'm planning to do it, and saying "no you can't use that room" without giving an actual reason that makes sense. If I am paying and working out, why should I be targeted and questioned about my reasons for being here, especially when no one else is even using the room I wanted to use? There was hardly anyone there. I should have the same right to use that room as other paying customers. Why is it okay for others to use the room? I am not sure why this woman seems to dislike me specifically but no one else who works here has ever targeted me like that. I will not go here again when she is working. We have contacted the owner previously since this has been an issue for a long time, but even when they say they'll take care of it, nothing changes.
It's first class! Indoor walking/jogging track, weight room, and basketball courts. Beautiful swimming pool, facility is well-staffed, and they have latch key during the school year and day camp through the summer.
I love this gym. It’s usually quiet in the evenings, a great place to avoid the crowds at commercial gyms. Has just about every piece of equipment, but I still have a couple qualms with this place. First off, it’s been almost 3 weeks and yet the cable lat pulldown and cable pull machine is still down... seems like it should be an easy fix since it’s just an issue with the leg holder. The staff are quiet but very friendly if you strike a conversation. MY BIG ISSUE: They love to gas you out of the gym with the disinfecting machine! I’m sitting here 30 minutes til close tonight, and they’ve already pulled out their gas powered disinfector - you might think this is a good thing, until you realize you’re huffing gas fumes for the rest of the workout. Can you guys wait til you close? Seems like this process should only take 5 minutes after you close, then you don’t have to avoid spraying people in the gym too... seems like common sense to me. We have a machine at my work and clear out the areas being sprayed beforehand.
