What Parents Say

Been here for a few years over 3 kids attending. Overall, would definitely recommend sending your kids here. Admin is very responsive and takes concerns seriously which is important. I always voice when I see an issue and the admin staff works with me on it to come to a resolution or fix any issues. Over the years, we’ve gone through a lot of the teachers between 3 kids there. The classroom/teacher staff varies in terms of how engaged they are and if they go above and beyond in teaching vs just watching over the kids. There is more turnover than you’d like to see, which makes it hard for the kids. The school should look into some sort of incentives/rentiontion program for the high performing staff (spot bonus program or additional day off based on performance, training/career advancement opportunities, etc.) to keep the higher performing teachers longer and engaged. I always get notification when my kid hurts himself or an accident with another kid. Most incidents that do occur, I ask the staff to show me video of my child and they never hesitate to pull it up and be transparent with that. Another positive is they do a few nights a year of parents night out which is way cheaper than if you had a babysitter at home. Recommend adding a few more to the rotation :) . They’ve also started to bring in outside services that families can choose to engage in or not (soccer, speech services, just saw dance lessons being added). We utilize speech and soccer and have had positive experiences. Enough kids do it that it’s worth it but you’re not left out if your kid doesn’t, as the rest of class is still in classroom. Love the specials they do (part of normal paid care- not additional cost). They do occasional field trips for the older kids as it’s age appropriate. They also give each kid a week back a year so when you go on vacation you don’t have to pay (for only up to those 5 days annually though) which is really nice.
We’ve had such a positive experience with this school. The staff is always accommodating and makes you feel truly supported. It has that welcoming small business feel where you know they genuinely care about the children and families they serve. They take accountability, communicate openly, and show great patience when working with families. We are grateful for the care and dedication they put into creating such a nurturing environment.
I had a great experience with Haymarket Children’s Academy. The director Juliana and staff were always professional, kind, and extremely helpful, especially when it came to my daughter’s care. I felt reassured knowing that she was in a safe and nurturing environment, where her needs were always prioritized. The director, in particular, went above and beyond to accommodate our needs, even ensuring that financial arrangements were handled in a fair and supportive manner. I truly appreciate the understanding and professionalism I experienced throughout our time here. It’s clear that they care about both the children and the families they serve, and I highly recommend Haymarket Children’s Academy to any parent looking for QUALITY childcare :) ! 🩷
I will never take my children any place other than Haymarket Children's Academy. From the infant care room to the preschool class, HCA is top notch. The teachers are attentive and supportive, and make each day unique and enjoyable for my hyperactive kids. The office staff does a fantastic job of communicating with families and creating opportunities for families to engage in seasonal activities. We are grateful for our HCA community.
We love Haymarket Children’s Academy! It was our son’s first school (1 year old), and he loves going. The teachers are loving and attentive, and the Procare app keeps you updated on how your little one is doing. The administration, especially Ms. Juliana, are welcoming and thoughtful, getting to know every family and saying hi to the children every morning. Good, healthy food and plenty of outdoor time makes this a great place for all kids. If you are looking for a place for your kiddo, do not hesitate to look into HCA.
