This church changed my life! I moved to Hawaii from Texas for college and felt alone spiritually. Then I was invited by a friend to come here and I met the most amazing followers of Christ. This body of believers truly chase after God and have complete reverence for Jesus Christ. These people befriended me and served me in so many ways. It’s also really easy to get plugged in and involved. I always love the hula worship team when they perform. The teaching is straight out of the Bible. And the worship is great too! Come here to meet brothers and sisters in Christ.
By the grace of God, He saved me in Honolulu after I rebelled against Him as a worldly atheist. I was hungry for someone to teach me the truth of scripture. Every week, God’s word is explained verse-by-verse (even the uncomfortable ones) and points to the beauty of Christ and his gospel message. This local church community’s hospitality and love for Jesus and each other, changed my life and is a gift from God.
Highly concerned I stopped going to this church in 2021 after pastor Dan went on a 90 minute rant about the importance of circumcision. Watch a video of a baby boy getting his skin cut off. It is child abuse! Not necessary in today's sanitary world nor according to Romans 2:26
In our search for a church the Lord directed us to this church family in our neighborhood. We had our kids in their preschool, their Awanas program, VBS and participating in a variety of other events. Finally able to attend church service there, I was blown away by the preaching. In my opinion, Pastor Dan Wong is the best preacher I have heard on this island. He preaches the text with conviction and humility. The leadership seems to be solid. We have yet to plug into a small group, but the community seems friendly. We are looking forward to plugging into this church.
folks here are a lot more easy going and friendly and try to show what they believe in. our family had a bad experience in the past with a cult church that is running a non profit scam on the island called the honolulu church of christ located on keeaumoku street. they try to use fear and violence to collect our money on sunday morning. we definitely had to leave that spiritually abusive environment.
